So good to be back!
Not a giant by any means but always love catching these smallies in deep clear mountain lakes. Haven't been on the water in a month or so so this was just what I needed!

FFS vs Traditional
Kind of an 2 part question here, Any opinions on catching a Giant using FFS vs just fishing traditionally, does it take a little credibility away from the catch? How about using a minnow bait vs a Swimbait? My personal take is a Giant is a Giant no matter the technology/technique but wanna hear yalls thoughts.

Anyone who thinks it's easy to catch giant bass just because you have FFS, hasn't been fishing with me. All the haters want to make it seem sooooo easy and man that couldn't be further from the truth.
5lb+ smallmouth
Just sharing a post of my favorite catch on Skiatook lake in the fall. Loon 130 size whopper plopper with a red front hook that swivels(basstar spintech). Sucker jumped head high three times and got him in the boat on the last. Helped me win the championship for the ok bass chasers club.

I bet that was an explosion!
Best day on the water
On this day a friend and I racked up a 40lb sack on a local lake that we didn’t think would ever be possible. Most of the fish came from a Willie Pete’s glide bait. First ever 40lb hopefully more to come in 2026!
