🎉 FRIDAY WINS!
TAKING ACTION: ✅New Clients: Skip straight to the bottom of this post and check out the ⭐️ NEW CLIENT INFO! The ⭐️ NEW CLIENT INFO at the bottom of each day’s post will be your go-to this month! ✅Share your weekly wins today! If you decide to practice one or more of the morning cortisol strategies today, that’s also a WIN! 🎉 As we’ve discussed this week, the actual problem isn’t “high cortisol” per se. ***see comments for Somatic Lowering Cortisol in the evenings exercise**** It’s an imbalanced cortisol rhythm—or chronically high cortisol. Again, we want our cortisol to be higher in the mornings because it’s responsible for transporting glucose to our tissues for energy. I don’t know about you, but I need all the energy I can get in the mornings! We’ll discuss these tips more in depth as we continue throughout the month, but for today, here are a few scientifically proven strategies to help with your AM cortisol ⬇️ ☀️ 10-15 minutes of morning sunlight (no sunglasses) within the first hour of waking up ☀️ hydration (16-32 oz water) upon waking (and before coffee, ideally) ☀️ drink coffee/caffeine (after water, of course!) ☀️ exercise within the first 2-3 hours of waking ☀️ eat grapefruit or a small amount of black licorice in the morning (Hey, it’s science. 😉) I encourage you to write these tips down and put them in a place where you’re reminded to practice them throughout the month. Even if you can’t practice them all, I encourage you to take one or two and start implementing them to build better cortisol-balancing habits! ⚖️ 4 Things to Do When You Wake Up for Healthy Cortisol Levels _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ ⬇️⭐️NEW CLIENT INFO and TO-DO’s⭐️⬇️ Happy Friday, friends! It’s one of our favorite days of the week because on Fridays, we set aside time to celebrate our wins. We don’t simply celebrate for the fun of it (though we love that part, too!)---we celebrate because it quite literally changes your brain and motivates you to keep going! 🙌

My wins this week is now drinking water before coffee in the morning and drinking more water throughout the day. Got my Whole Foods in this week and did the 14:10 fasting all week until today.
Transformation 😍😍
The pics on the left are 6 years to the date of today This was not me at my heaviest. After covid in 2021 I developed long covid and spiraled both mentally and physically I literally could not walk and spent 90% of my days in a bed. Until the fall of 2022 and I decided to take back control of my life. I started small with giving up certain comfort sweets. Drinking less pop. Moving my body, 5 minute workouts is where I began. @Aleiah Barker believed in me before I started believing in myself and has always been there for me. Looking at these pics makes me cry, knowing I’ve kept this up for almost 4 years. And at the time of starting I just wanted to be able to play with my grandson, ( now I have 2) so find your deepest why and don’t give up I’ve made plenty of mistakes and learned so much in this journey. But I’m glad I stuck to it and never gave up. If I can do it, you can too :)

TAKING ACTION: ✅New Clients: Skip straight to the bottom of this post and check out the ⭐️ NEW CLIENT INFO! The ⭐️ NEW CLIENT INFO at the bottom of each day’s post will be your go-to! ✅I’d love to see everyone—old and new clients—post a sweaty HIIT day selfie in the comments below! 🤳 (see comments for workout) 👉Cortisol - a hormone produced by the adrenal glands that helps regulate stress, metabolism, and immune responses. First things first. Cortisol is often referred to as the “stress” hormone, but it’s important to know that cortisol isn’t the enemy. Nor is stress. Our bodies depend on both cortisol and healthy stress, and we’re going to talk more about that throughout the month. Cortisol helps regulate stress, as you can see in the definition above. So, we need it. Along with regulating stress, it is also “an essential hormone that affects almost every organ and tissue in your body. It helps regulate how your body uses glucose (sugar) for energy, decreases inflammation, regulates blood pressure, and helps to control your sleep/wake cycle. You may think of cortisol when it comes to your stress, but as you can see, it plays many more important roles when it comes to your overall health. As you can see, cortisol isn’t the enemy everyone thinks it is. It’s essential, not just for your overall health, but also your ability to burn unwanted fat and prevent weight gain. The trick is in finding how to balance your cortisol levels throughout the day so that it doesn’t remain high all day long or at times when your cortisol level should be at lower levels. Balance is the key. 🔑 Speaking of balance, check out this macro-balanced recipe below! I know, I know, it’s a low-carb day…but tomorrow isn’t. 😉 Street Corn Chicken Rice Bowl - Eat the Gains __________________________________________________________________________________________________ ⬇️⭐️NEW CLIENT INFO and TO-DO’s⭐️⬇️ Happy Day One! @Aleiah Barker I’ve been very blessed to grow up in a very large family in a small farming community that grew gardens every year and taught us from a young age how to garden and can.

@Bobbi Varney it’s not hard just time consuming but it definitely was one of the best life lessons I’ve learned from my parents.

The ⭐️ NEW CLIENT INFO ⭐️ at the bottom of each day’s post will be your go-to this month for the basics in here. ✅VIP/Veteran Clients: Share with me below—what intermittent fasting protocol are you practicing this month to support balanced cortisol? Also, don’t forget to check out the extra Breathwork session after today’s workout! You know what today is—it’s the day we begin a brand new challenge! This month, it’s all about cortisol and strength, and we’ve strategically created our programming to help you do just that! Here’s how we’re going to improve our overall cortisol balance this month ⬇️ 📌We’re sticking with a 14:10 intermittent fasting protocol to reduce overall stress on the body. Feel free to try a 12:12 protocol if your stress symptoms are higher than average. Ask me if you have questions about an appropriate fasting protocol for you this month. The 14:10 means fasting for 14 hours and having an eating window for 10. The 12:12 is fasting for 12 hours and having an eating window of 12 hours. 📌We’re adding in Breathwork after the workouts on Mondays and Thursdays! *SEE COMMENTS FOR BOTH* 📌And of course, here in our small group, we’re going to talk about all things cortisol and stress. I’ll be giving you cortisol-balancing tips along the way! I think you’re going to enjoy what you learn about cortisol this month. It isn’t the enemy everyone thinks it is. Imbalanced cortisol is where the problem comes in. Fortunately, after this month, you’re going to know exactly what you need to do to get your cortisol levels working FOR and WITH you—instead of against you! 💯 ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ ⬇️⭐️NEW CLIENT INFO and TO-DO’s⭐️⬇️ Happy Day One! I am honored you’re here, and I am looking forward to helping you learn the best and most effective way to reach your health and wellness goals!

Ready to get this week started and focus on the 3 w’s this week. Just finished harvesting fresh produce from my garden. Planning on incorporating the workouts and breathing exercises you post with my 3 mile walk/bike ride and weight training. Will focus a little more on water intake as I do drink water daily just not enough of it.

@Sherri Hudson my parents always had a garden while I was growing up and then my dad was the youngest of 17 kids so just about all of his siblings had gardens. So as kids we always had fresh vegetables. The only fresh fruits I grow right now are grapes and blackberries then my neighbor has a raspberry bush so we swap produce and flowers all the time. However I do plan to plant a couple of apple trees and blueberry bushes within the next year. I love fresh fruits and vegetables as well. I also like growing them myself because then I know what chemicals are used plus I’m an outdoorsy person. I love being outside.
