The power of face to face.
I switched my marketing from posts to people. Game Changer!! Face-to-face conversations filled my pipeline, my calendar, and my soul. Real people. Real problems. Real urgency. That’s how you figure out how to help. Old-school isn’t dead—it’s dominant. Get off your arse, get out there, and be useful. The world needs you.

Oh, that's encouraging to hear, Tony! Glad you're making headway with connecting in-person. ❤️ Keep it up.
My latest podcast as a guest
Hello all, One of the latest podcasts I was a guest on - Awesome Attitude with Stephen Shaner (the Attitude Chiropractor') just dropped this morning. During the podcast I speak on my 4th book, which is now with the editor. Taking clues from Booklaunchers and others like Dale Roberts, etc., I am getting out a head of the launch with being a guest on podcasts. As you might recall I have written here about my 4th book about the marketing techniques I have used to sell my books, and in this podcast I tell of a number of those strategies I have employed. As Alex Sanfillipo (Podmatch.com) has said, tell them everything when you are on the podcast. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to tell them everything during this podcast, but I do a pretty good job at it. Here is the link and I hope you enjoy. https://traffic.libsyn.com/areyouawesometoday/AYAT0201.mp3

YES! So glad to hear that you're already getting ahead of the marketing curve, Kevin. 🤩 Keep it up!
✅ Copyright / LOC / Bowker all done!
I submitted my Copyright office application today, as well as my Library of Congress app (for LCCN), and also "assigned" my ISBNs in my Bowker account... 🛬 Had those on the "near publication" part of my pre-launch plan for months, and now was the time! It's great checking off so many items on my list as I near the end of "pre-publication" and approach actual "publication"! So exciting! 😊 It's been really great having y'all on this journey with me. We've got a pretty special community here, @Julie Broad ! Thanks for creating this space for us authors to connect and help each other out! 🫶

Congrats! That's exciting. 😁
Two covers and my website landing page - Any thoughts?
After considering things I learned from Julie thus far, I have updated my landing webpage joetyndall.com having chosen informational and irreverent for my style. Most everything works (more to add as I finalize my book text). I expect to make revisions. You can get to larger full cover layouts for both books by clicking on the large thumbnails. All comments are appreciated, even if you don’t like this. I will survive and will thank you if your criticism leads to something better.

Hi Joe, thanks for showing us your website and being willing to take some feedback. I do have to agree with Abbie that this doesn't look like a website. To me, it looks and feels more like a newsletter page. There's a bit too much information/text, that my eye doesn't know where to start first. I would recommend putting tag lines for your readers. For example, having a pop-up or even a text box that says something like "Are you tired of struggling through various diets, feeling hungry and miserable, yet not losing weight?" OR perhaps something shorter like "Lose weight without constant hunger with the keto-carnivore diet." (Those are on-the-fly examples, but using something like the AI in our Author Launch Kit would help tremendously. Here's a preview of what that software can do for you - https://booklaunchers.com/alk/) Also, specific to the layout of your website, I would recommend a couple YouTube videos for you: 1. How to Build a Quick Landing Page to Build Your Author Platform 2. Author Website Building Tips with Book Launchers Expert Shane Vigeant Hope this helps! 😁
What kind of podcast?
It's been a while since I have kicked the ant hill, so in my normal fashion I better get to it. What kind of podcast does everyone prefer? The video podcast like the YT stuff or even FB and IG video OR the type that comes over the radio? I don't know if the radio or I guess it would be broadcast(?) Is called faceless like a faceless YT video with just hands or photos. Just wondering how this type of content is consumed?

I will actually watch and listen to podcasts; it's wholly decided on what I'm doing when I choose to listen/watch. However, I will say that, of the two, audio is certainly more convenient especially when the listener is on the go.
