help me improve
Hey all! I am learning so much as I go, here are two nail sets I've done recently. Please help me get better. Both are builder gel, both are hard gel. I work independently, so I don't really get feedback from anybody but my clients.

Honestly, I'm pretty happy with how both sets turned out. I think I did a better job on the non ombre set. The ombre set, I think I could have done a better job with finish filing--I'm trying to bring in the foamie or a good buff after I use a sanding band before I apply polish. The line of light is pretty good, at the cuticle area it could be better. I see a few bumps on side walls where I think the top coat pooled before I cured it. I've recently changed to flash curing every coat of polish for 5 seconds before moving on to next finger to prevent the pooling while waiting for more fingers to be done. The first set client has pretty flat nails, so I did pinch them (I'm LOVING that technique, finding it is really helping with retention for those with super flat nails) and I think the overall shape will improve when I redo them and pinch again in a couple of weeks. I also think that shape would look good slightly more squoval, or more almondy. On the other two, I think those are looking decent. Free edges aren't perfect because I had already been wearing that set for a week and they needed a new file at that point. I like how thin those turned out, they felt really good. I find sometimes when I'm finish filing builder gel, I get it to where I think it should be, but then I'll add another 4 coats of polish/top coat depending on art and then it gets thicker than I would like. Wish I could be better about that. How do you handle that?

@Gina Townsend let me know how it goes! I'm finding it faster than doing 2-3 at a time and switching hands.

@Elianne Cormier sometimes i run into this too, and it is just annoying enough as I sometimes don't see it until i'm painting. (sad trombone)
I will as as you requested
I have so many resources. I need your help to get me to upload them. Ask me some questions /challenges you’re facing so I could answer them for you. No gatekeeping here.

How do you handle price increases? How do you decide how much, when do you do it, and how often do you do it?
Nail Tech Visibility: Getting Found
For those of you that have said "I don’t know how to get clients when I’m brand new." Here are some actions you can take right away to get found as a nail tech. 1 Post consistently on Instagram/TikTok (before/after, process, tips). 2 Optimize your profile (bio, location, booking link, niche). 3 Set up a Google Business Profile for local discovery. 4 Collaborate with hairstylists, lash techs, estheticians for referrals. comment GET FOUND if you are going to try these actions, and let me know which one is the most challenging. 5 Try my 7-day posting challenge to kickstart consistency. I have a 7 Day posting challenge that my clients have done and have seen the benefits just after the 7 days. But first do the first 4 things then come back and comment "Ready" so I can share the challenge with you.

FYI: When I set up google business profile, getting verified was difficult. I did manage to do it, but took several weeks of back and forth and I finally had to have a live call with a person and walk them through my entire business (and car!!) to show then that I was a real business.

I hate these comments. But, I think people are forgetting that nail salons were (and maybe still are?) a way that many people were trafficked. So their low prices were never real and a way to keep people from leaving. That's what properly run salons are being compared to.
