What do you think about the October 2025 visa bulletin?
I just read through the October 2025 Visa Bulletin, and wow, it really puts things into perspective. EB-2 for India is back to 2013, EB-3 is still stuck, and China faces years of delays. Meanwhile, EB-5 Set-Aside categories are current for everyone. Some people are calling EB-5 the new “fast track” to a green card. As someone who works with tech professionals and entrepreneurs, I can see how this changes career, family, and investment decisions. How do you all feel about EB-5 becoming the fastest path forward? Would you consider it, or wait out the EB-2/EB-3 backlog?

The backlog in EB-2 and EB-3 makes EB-5’s current availability stand out as a unique window. Many professionals are starting to weigh the certainty of EB-5 against years of waiting, especially with career and family timelines in mind.
Is the EB-5 visa the real answer to Trump’s student visa crackdown?
I’ve been watching the fallout from the 6,000+ student visa cancellations, and honestly, it feels bigger than just immigration. Universities are losing billions, students are losing their futures, and businesses are losing talent. I’ve seen how H-1B and O-1 visas can’t keep up, and it makes me wonder if EB-5 is the only stable path left, especially for students who want to stay, build companies, and create jobs. Do you think EB-5 is the real solution, or just another expensive workaround?

EB-5 is actually a strong option: it’s stable, direct, and gives students a clear path to stay and build in the U.S., even if it’s not the answer for everyone.

What’s the smartest tax strategy for early retirement?
I’ve been digging into FIRE and one thing stands out: taxes make or break your plan. Retire early without strategy and you can lose 30%+ to penalties and bad withdrawal choices. Tools like Roth ladders, bridge accounts, and sequencing withdrawals can stretch a portfolio 6+ extra years. I’m curious, if you’ve planned for FIRE, which tax strategy has been the most valuable for you? Or which one do you think most people overlook?

Tax planning really is the linchpin for FIRE, and your point about withdrawal sequencing is spot on. Roth ladders in particular create flexibility that can extend portfolio life far more than most people expect.
Is EB-5 fraud the biggest fear investors should have?
I’ve been diving deep into the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, and one thing keeps coming up, the fear of fraud. Even though cases are statistically rare (<1%), the impact is brutal. Families have lost millions, residency hopes, and years of waiting. From Vermont’s $200M scandal to fake projects in California, it’s clear the stakes are massive. Fraudsters know how to exploit urgency: “guaranteed” returns, fast timelines, no audits. The only real defense is due diligence, treating EB-5 like a high-stakes venture capital deal. Verify, audit, and hire the right legal experts. For those of you who’ve looked at or invested in EB-5, do you think fraud prevention should be the #1 priority, or is it overblown?
