Pray for me this week, my annual review is scheduled for Tuesday, honestly not sure what to expect. Might be really bad.

The Church is not a retreat, a volunteer organization, or a spiritual hobby; it is God’s public declaration that the old cosmic order has been overthrown and replaced under the lordship of Christ.

Hey guys. Our kids attend a private Christian school. Their cousins, who also come from a Christian home, attend public school. My son (7 yrs old) has a cousin that’s the same age. This cousin has shown or talked to my son on multiple occasions about things definitely age inappropriate, the most recent being revealing that the middle finger means something bad. There’s two things from the video I want to address. First, I agree with him about “heathens teaching your kids”. Bold language, but I think there’s no point in beating around the bush. The 90s, even the 2000s, are gone and the world has ramped up in a negative way since then. Even if you’re doing it right at home, who your kids are spending 7 hours a day with will pull more influence compared to the 2-3 hrs a night you get with them. Not saying your kid can’t walk out of public school still a Christian or if you can’t afford to send them to a private Christian school you’re a terrible parent (however, you all know how much I make, it’s a sacrifice, but it’s worth it!), it’s a worth while investment to have their education partnering with you. One thing I disagree in the video that was implied is if you go to a Christian school or college, you won’t be given the best opportunities or be successful. I’ve heard Dave Ramsey say it 1 million times that private school vs public school, State College vs private college vs Ivy League is no indicator on your success in the real world. I think in today’s world if you can give your kid a strong sense of self-worth, emotional regulation, and work ethic they will outdo 95% of the competition. His overarching point in the video is that he’s more concerned about WHO his kids are becoming rather than WHAT they are becoming. And that to me is the most important thing. I’m more concerned about having my kids knowing God‘s love and “Who’s” they are rather than being financially successful and on their 3rd marriage. I’d wrap up the ending quick cause I gotta go play. How was everyone’s week? I’m sitting in the lobby of a hotel away from my family wondering how I got here. Just listening to some Music and thinking about my situation. God has blessed me in every season so I’ve decided to find the blessings in my situation. I’ll touch back later with some thoughts of my own but do you have any blessings going unrecognized?
