Welcome! Introduce yourself + share a pict of your sauna glow
Let’s get to know each other! You can use this format: Hey, I’m from ____________. It had been _____ days/hours since my last sauna, steam or cold plunge. I’ll go first… Hey I’m John from Minnesota (the sauna capital of North America 🤘). Bless me father for it has been A WEEK since my last sauna! (But less than 24 hours since my last cold plunge… spending the summer in Arizona getting into the cold side of contrast therapy like never before 🧊)! Here’s a pict of me and my besties glowed up after steaming at Lifetime in Phoenix last week…

Hey, I’m Ben from MN, and my last sauna was about a week ago in Buffalo. I'm currently finishing a term on the board of the 612 Sauna Co-op with which I've been associated since it opened at Surly almost nine years ago. Since then I've taken steam in Finland and Lithuania, and have absolutely fallen in love with the power of making space and sharing space. Shown here post-whisking at Superior's set-up at Pryes Brewing in Mpls. Oak leaves in my hat because I'm a dork. @Grant Whittle , what sauna-related white papers have been submitted recently? And in what way were you thinking of AI modelling helping sauna?

Having an interesting side convo with @Aaron Luz that gives me a question for the group: If you had to choose between a 200 degree sauna without good ventilation (in hot room) or a 152 degree sauna with great airflow, what would you choose and why? Go! 🔥😜

The sauna is perfect when you can pour a ladle of water on the rocks and if you breathe in through your mouth you will just barely feel the steam on your lips. In 100c/212F with poor/no ventilation, the steam tastes like hell. Visit Rajaportin sauna in Tampere. 70c/152F at head height and two ladles is almost too much, but you can still breathe through it without difficulty.
