Yeah, repetition. Try all the SoundGym alternatives. Load up each of your EQ plugins (do you even know how many you have?) one at a time and work every button and knob. You may discover a new go-to, or one’s that fit certain situations better than others
📣 Community updates
Hey everyone, just a quick update to let you know about some exciting changes happening to the group. Moving forward, there will be no free tier for this group. Everyone here is grandfathered in. Previously the tiers were: - Free - Standard (community only) - $12/m - Premium (most courses and member events) - $49/m - VIP (all courses and monthly 1:1) Now the tiers are: - $5 - Standard (community only) - $12/m - Premium (most courses and member events) - $49/m - VIP (all courses and monthly 1:1) New people will pay $5/month to access the community. This should help increase the quality of the community significantly. Anyone who previously was on the free Standard tier will remain on the Standard tier and continue to have access to this group. This only affects new people joining, who will now have to pay $5/month for Standard. I have some more exciting updates to share with you next week about a brand new member event/competition format, so look out for more info on that 👀

I was wondering how I got in a $5 tier w/o making any payments… Good plan
Feedback request
Hi everyone! If anyone has time to listen, I'd appreciate comments on this track. It's "master lite", mixed into a limiter and exported with the limiter on, without any additional mastering touches.

Thanks! I assume mastering would sand off the edges. I should probably make a mastering pass to test those assumptions
Referral community?
I was in the Mixing Intensive program in March, and I thought there was a mention of establishing a referral community to pass work between members. I haven't seen a notice for that, though. Did it happen? Did I miss it? Thanks.

@Nick Allegro Thanks! That’s the post I lost track of
Cloud Placement Suggestion
I recently noticed my clouds dont really sit above my listening position or above the speakers reflection point. I have a new desk and now my speakers are further about and my clouds dont cover the full range. Im rebuilding a new cloud thats 3ft wide 5 feet long and would like any info on where to place it exactly. I have a general idea but i thought id also get some suggestions as well thanks ! Ima also open to covering the ceiling lights and adding corner lamps for lighting if needed

Hi Todd! If you haven't done it yet, grab the free "Room EQ Wizard" software and measure your room. Or, if you have a few dollars, save time & energy and buy IK Multimedia's ARC 4 hardware. Both will graph your room's frequency response curve - stick a mic in your listening position and run the tests. The resulting graph is much easier to understand than trying to compare by ear. They can help you find the optimum position for your clouds. Or, in the case of ARC, it can bend your speakers' EQ curve to flatten room response. There are alternative products, too; they're just the two I've used. Have fun!
