Hi @Jamy Vodegel . Many thanks for the catch-up- it was a great conversation. Regarding niche marketing for freelance or contract designers. The few Creative business coaches that I've observed often recommend doubling down on a specific industry to generate leads, create targeted content, and stand out in a crowded market - really becoming the thought leader within that niche market. While reverse-engineering a niche based on industry budgets and activity makes business sense, it can be incredibly difficult for creatives. Many of us became designers to challenge ourselves creatively and solve diverse problems across different sectors. Being forced into a single category can feel limiting, whereas having a variety of clients provides the creative fulfilment we seek. Also, if you're going to invest 5-10 years building up this niche, it better be a really good industry to keep you turning up every day.
