Thursday Question for Coaches...where do you usually position yourself during training sessions and matches?
Last week I paid more attention to the coaches during a Champions League match and noticed something interesting. Many of them were standing right in the middle of the bench area most of the time — which is actually different from where I usually position myself. So during the game I even started to adjust my position a bit. I also asked Momir Ilić about this in our last Q&A, and he explained how he chooses his position during both matches and training. So now I’m curious: 👉 Where do you usually position yourself during games and during training? 👉 Is it something you think about consciously, or does it just happen naturally? Looking forward to hearing how other coaches approach this.

During the game, I'm usually moving with the team. I go up front if we are in attack and I go back down when we are in diffence. We are not allowed to change all the time yet, only in Ballposession. But if we do, I have to be there and grab on their jersey to prevent false change😅They just can't wait to get on court😆 On training I do it just like Timo✌️

@Damir Djukic Me too. I live maybe a bit too much with game and should take a step back sometimes to have a better and more neutral overview.

@Damir Djukic On one side, the excitement of the game for sure, I just love this game😆 On the other side, when I'm giving them specific instructions (the same ones) over and over without adaptation on the court, that triggers me. Makes me feel absolete. Sometimes I think I try to overcompensate their lack of communication and positivity on the field. Somebody else with similar challenges?😅
