Technology Frustration
I have been trying all day to finish getting a video edited that folk have asked for about how I draw on procreate and turn it into a texture roller. Long story short I filmed the process thinking I could voice over only to discover that I can’t say what needs to be said in the time it needs to be done. I have bits and pieces but I don’t like it and every time I go to do something I know how to do it no longer works or is in a different place. I think technology is moving way faster than I can keep up. So lesson learned. I will start over again tomorrow and just talk while I go through the process. Does anyone else find things more complicated than they should be?

I feel your pain. I was trying to make a video of how I edit videos and the screen recording did not save! Plus, when one is explaining what one is doing it must go slow enough to allow for the time to explain. I'll also be trying another day, and with another method.

@Mary Carolyn lol, I, too, remember when White-Out was invented...and the Mag-Card machine. 🤣
Can we help each other out?
One of the big challenges on YouTube is to get watch time...and subscribers! I have tried to mention new channels every time I post to YouTube, and it seems to be helping others. But watch time is another challenge. I know I'm getting close to the 1,000 mark, and that's exciting, but I'm still waaay below the minimum watch hours to get my vids pushed to the next level. Perhaps we can help each other out by rewatching videos, or watching earlier videos that we haven't watched yet. I suggest that if you have a channel and want help with this, post your link in the comments, and let people know if you are trying to get more subscribers, watch time, or both.

@Gigi Gaggero thanks! I've been in meetings all day. I just got home and grabbed a burrito and a beer. I'll check tomorrow though!

The Journey South Begins❄️
My journey toward Antarctica has begun. Today I spent a day in Buenos Aires before heading to Ushuaia tomorrow — the southernmost city in the world. And then, on Saturday, I finally board the ship. Today in Buenos Aires I found a wonderful pottery shop where different artists sell their work. I checked the opening hours beforehand, but the shop was still closed when I arrived. I’m honestly a little sad about it, because I would have loved to bring something back with me.🧳 I did manage to catch a few glimpses through the window though — and if you ever find yourself here, there is definitely art to be discovered. I’ll check in again soon and keep you posted.

@Suza Roswandowicz Look at those wide open spaces! What a beautiful sky! I'm so excited for you.

@Suza Roswandowicz I love the little squat one with the "trunk" for a handle. It looks like an exotic animal. How fun!
Possibilities!
Sometimes the day just gives you so many... (Oh whoops... is that an oil burner that finally came out of the bisque? How did that get there?)
Possibilities!

@Gwen Sandau oh, damn! At least it wasn't clay!
Experiment & unloved glazes
This little cup was a test of form, function, and use of an unloved glaze. The form works much better in a taller mug, as the indent below the rim creates a dam and then a flood into the mouth. The handle is surprisingly comfortable. I guess I didn't save the edits. Inside is smoke, outside is smoke on the bottom, enchanted forest in the top 2/3 and pearl white over the enchanted forest.
