Big win today
I haven't talked about it much, but I've been working very hard on my remote pilot's certificate. I've been doing test flights, studying for the exam, and putting together a business plan to expand the services I offer. Today, I sat for the exam, and it was the culmination of everything I've been working on for the last 3 months. The pressure to pass was immense. So when I say that I passed, and passed with flying colors, you can imagine the joy and immense pride I have in the accomplishment. It opens up a whole new level of opportunity for me. In the 12 hours since I've passed my exam, I already have a half dozen gigs lined up. It has been a phenomenal day. My SOTD was 1989 from Theodore's Kalotinis. It's plum, pink pepper, and patchouli and makes me feel calm and confident. It was a perfect scent to wear for the test.

Congrats @Stephen DeMent
Happy Memorial Day SOTD _ Honor
I want to take the time to pause today and thank every one of our veterans who have elected to serve in one capacity or another, and to remember those we have lost. Thank you for being among the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for us. My SOTD today is Honor. I thought it might be fitting, and it's also a great scent that works well for the weather today. I hope everyone has a great day, grills some great food, and has a dip in the pool. I'm stuck in the office editing all the weddings and headshots I've done over the last month, but will get to have some fun tonight.

Thank you brother. It’s not about us though. It’s about my boys that came home under a flag sadly.
Known Labels of people within a Perfume Community.
Clone Warrior: Someone who strongly defends clones, dupes, Middle Eastern inspired-by fragrances, or budget alternatives. Sometimes positive, but often used as a jab when someone refuses to admit the original is better. Niche Snob:: A person who looks down on designers, cheapies, and clones because they prefer expensive niche or artisan fragrances. Designer Bro: Someone who mostly wears popular designer scents: Dior Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, YSL Y, Invictus, Eros, etc. Usually wants easy compliments and mass appeal. Beast Mode Bro: Someone who judges fragrances mainly by strength, projection, and longevity. If it does not last 10+ hours or “fill a room,” they call it weak. “Beast mode” is widely used in fragrance groups to mean very strong performance/projection. Compliment Chaser: Someone who buys/wears fragrances mainly to get noticed by others, not necessarily because they personally love the scent. Fraghead: General term for a fragrance enthusiast or collector. Usually neutral or positive. Bottle Flexer: Someone who posts expensive bottles mainly to show status, collection size, or buying power. Aventus Bro: A person obsessed with Creed Aventus, Aventus batches, Aventus clones, smoky vs fruity batches, CDNIM, etc. Batch Hunter: Someone who chases older or “better” batches of a fragrance, especially Creed, Dior Homme Parfum, older Amouage, vintage designers, etc. Reformulation Cop: Someone who constantly points out that “the old version was better” or that a fragrance has been watered down. Dupe Detective: Someone who always tries to identify what expensive scent a cheaper fragrance is copying. Middle Eastern Hype Man: Someone who heavily promotes Lattafa, Armaf, Afnan, Fragrance World, Paris Corner, Maison Alhambra, etc., often saying they are better than designer or niche. Cheapie King: Someone who specializes in affordable fragrances and finds great value under $50. Niche Explorer: Someone who likes discovering lesser-known niche, indie, artisan, or unusual perfumes instead of mainstream designer releases

Sotd: ATH Blue Fever
I mean its ok. I sprayed on clothes and skin but doesnt project or perform well on both. Kinda like a mix of Grand soir, Le sel d’issey and Y EDP. Unique but whats the point if it only lasts 20 minutes? Definitely not nose blind because i asked my friend if he could smell anything and he said no. Update: different day same shit. Doesn’t last at all. Neither on clothes or skin.

Sad but I’ve heard this often about blue fever. I can say that midnight fever and red fever perform much much better and are fantastic imho

@Ben E that’s interesting as most people I’ve heard from that own the rest of the Fever line hate it.
Rest In Peace - Oliver Creed
For anyone unaware, Oliver Creed passed away earlier today. Whatever you may think of him or his business, he was a legend in the field who changed the history and path of perfumer permanently. I will be wearing a Creed fragrance tomorrow for my SOTD. I only have samples of Centaurus, Delphinus, and Queen of Silk, so I will choose one of those. Sad day for the industry, and I send my love and best wishes to his surviving family.

Wow thanks @Stephen DeMent for the info. As you stated the man was one of the few (10ish) I see as GOAT status. As you know, I’ve become saddened by what the house has become but in the 80’s and 90’s when I first found the house I loved what they did and at one point had about 10-12 different Creed frags in the collection. His inspiration and impact will be sadly missed.

@Stephen DeMent wow. Many have been covered her and I really don’t want to try and narrow it down atm. I’m actually having a very difficult time this “holiday” weekend. I hate it and miss my brothers. Maybe another time.
