The importance of Customer Data
Hi everyone, here is a lesson that a lot of new entrepreneurs overlook, or simply don't understand the importance of. So I wanted to share a little insight. A lot of entrepreneurs make the mistake of ONLY looking at conversions and sales. For example, if you've paid for a stall at an event so you can sell to customers, typically you will judge the success of this purely on the amount of sales you've made, right? If so, you're overlooking something VERY important. That's the opportunity to spread awareness of your brand, and to grow your community. now imagine this, you paid $100 for a stall at an event, but only made $200. Initially you would think that wasn't a successful day. However, what if you also got 500 peoples emails to sign up to your mailing list? and 300 extra followers on social media? Those 500 people that are actively engaged in your brand, as you have established a REAL relationship with them in person, who will actively support your brand going forward, and now you can advertise to them FOR FREE, whenever you want. Now imagine if you do that once a month, or even once a week, just how quickly you will grow your brand, and build an engaged community. And trust me, when It comes to selling a business, this is what buyers will look for! Sales are super important, of course, but never forget the bigger picture.
