Traceability report
A Contracting Officer reached out to me this asking for a traceability report for a part. I reached out to the distributor of the part and they responded back to me saying they are unable to provide traceability because the manufacturer does not offer documentation on parts. How true is this? Why would a manufacturer not provide traceability?

@Floral Nelson They were unable to provide me with traceability and because of that I will not be purchasing any product from them. I will keep what you said in mind for future contracts.

@Dilshad Randhawa The CO said I must have traceability in order for them to award us the contract. The CO was very helpful and sent me a list of documents that the distributors could’ve used as traceability but I think the distributor didn’t want to put in the extra work to find them. This is was a learning experience for sure. I think I’ll be better prepared next time.
Help
I received this attachment from the DLA. Our company is still rather new with minimal procurement history from previous jobs. How can we ever be awarded a contract when all this is needed from a newbie? Has anyone else received this? If so were you new at the time? And how did you complete it?

It was supposed to be submitted the 24hrs after I received it, so I missed the deadline but now I know for future references.

👋🏾 Hello Everyone, my name is Avianca. I am 35 years olds hailing from Pax River, Maryland. I live near a Naval Base that is home to a large number of well known Government Contracting companies. I've always wondered how these businesses came to be. So I did my research and here I am, its coming up on almost a full year since I registered my company, Philip Solutions Group. I've submitted my first contract just a couple of days ago. It took me a while to pull the trigger because I'm a tad bit of a perfectionist so I want to be sure I have all the knowledge needed to fulfill my contracts correctly. I watch a lot of Day’s videos and they really give me the confidence I need to push forward to become one of the top performing Government Contractor. In the near future I want to build PSG into a 7-figure company that employs homeless veterans, single mothers, or those in underprivileged areas.
