It is a very good practice to remember we shouldn't take anything personally or too seriously. We are all human, we are each unique, and we know ourselves better than we often realize. While others may project opinions, those opinions are just that, their perspective and point of view. We shouldn't ignore words of caution however, we should carefully consider the possibility of truth in their words to see if those words truly apply to us. For instance, someone says, "You should look both ways when you cross the street." You know you did, but they missed it. Instead of getting defensive or trying to convince them otherwise, simply say, "Thank you for looking out for my safety." We know, they don't, but their reminder shows they care. Look for the positive and for the common ground, love one another and remember to not take situations too personally. There are bigger issues, like drought and famine, let's work together so we can all survive our moment on Earth.
