Welcome!
My name is Austin Brewer and I’m a mobile locksmith in Wyoming that focuses on residential and commercial locksmithing as well as automotive lockouts, follow along as I show you how to do different locksmithing techniques to help you in situations where you might get locked out of your building or vehicle as well as how to do other things such as rekeying, master keying and more! To start things off share some ideas on what you might want me to show you (if not I’ll come up with something), planning on doing live videos every Wednesday or Thursday once the community grows some more.

@David Frett I started with the trial and just do the basic version, for now I’m keepin the group free but eventually I’ll do a subscription based group at a super low price (no more than $5 a month) Doing my first lockout job I felt so air headed, I was 16 and a buddy of mine was teaching me, handed me a wire hanger and told me to unlock his car (that’s when I learned to make a wedge out of a small piece of wood) also gave me some bobby pins and paper clips and told me to unlock his house (as he taught me how to make lockpicks with them) but after I got them unlocked I felt so accomplished and enjoyed it a lot

Ya most of what I learned I did by YouTube or figured out on my own, still got a lot to learn! As far as posting on your personal page I’m not sure honestly, I know there’s the Skoolers community and that’s for everyone on Skool and then you have all the different communities that you can join like Cowboy Security LLC and post in or by creating your own community

Hey that’s awesome! I’m excited to be here too and share some ideas back and forth with many others, when you get into the locksmithing trade you gotta start somewhere, automotive lockouts is a great way!!! I started by learning how to pick locks on buildings and automotive lockouts

It’s definitely a process! I spent 8 years using every excuse to not take the step and the big one was always financial issues and when it comes to locksmithing cost can vary depending on what you’re wanting to get into, right now I only do residential and commercial and for automotive I only do lockouts and lot of that has to do with how much equipment costs especially for automotive locksmithing it can get pretty expensive
Lockout tools
In the locksmith trade there’s so many different tools that are used to get the job done also depending on the job that you’re doing. What tool do you prefer to use when doing lockouts whether it be automotive or building lockouts? My opinion: Automotive- I use a wedge and rod but if I can a button master (very thin and long loop cinch tool) Building- lock picks, standard or comb picks
