@Alex Pfeffer Yeah, I see. My idea on the boss track was to have a big intro, to give an idea on how massive the boss is, then a little break to let breath the player, and then another melody, still massive but more focused, like the player understand the boss, and he is trying to fight it and not just dash everything. I'm going to try to think on, how I can improve it !
Logic alternative on Windows
Hey, I've been an Logic user in the past, but I don't have a capabale Mac anymore (2012 MacBookPro). I have quite some Windows Machine with 32GB Ram and a 5600x CPU. I really loved the stock PlugIns in Logic beside the look and feel. Can anyone give some advice on transitioning to a similar DAW on Windows? I'm looking at Reaper, Cubase/Nuendo and Bitwig or if I should maybe go for a cheap MacMini as it is in the same price range as Cubase/Bitwig. Thanks in advance.

Maybe Ableton Live could be a nice alternative ? I know that a lot of people around me switch from logic to Ableton Live. But I think it's really depend on what kind of music you do. If you're a pro soccer or a pro basket ball player, you're not going to wear the same type of shoes ! (Yeah, I'm good at comparison)

@Clemens Reil IMHO : Ableton live : great for experimenting and making music quickly (a lot of tool to find the sound that you want quickly) + stock effects are gold Cubase/Nuendo : great for linear music and orchestral related because of the stability and the tools in the daw Reaper : great because of the personalization, the big community, and the reascript Studio One : a great alternative to Cubase and a bit like Ableton Live because of the drag and drop.
Creating content for social media 🫠
Hey everyone! It is really inspiring to see what everybody is doing. High quality work everywhere I look! I am in the process of figuring out how to use my social media more efficiently. Hopefully I will be able to attract some future clients this way. Alex has provided some great videos on the subject (thank you!) but I feel I have to take it a step back and focus on the content creation itself and get comfortable with that part before I worry too much about certain social media strategies and so on. Right now I rarely share my work and collaborations and to be honest I am a bit confused about how and where to start. Ideally I would like to create some content that - resonates with me as a person - can be made without draining my mental energy too much - is somewhat integrated into my work week (it’s also a question of building a habit I guess) A lot of relevant composer/guitar content I come across is very fast paced which I find “off character” so to speak if I were to copy the idea. SO! Anybody who has been through a similar process and can share some tips or ideas? How did you build the habit of creating content for your social media? What kind of content works best for you when you create content for your social media? Feel free to ask any follow up questions 😊 Thank you

My goal in general when it’s coming to creating content is focusing on one specific content that I like creating and then see how I can adapt this content for all other platforms. For example, I’m creating one video per week on my YouTube channel, each video is then put into an app like getmunch to create some shorts video. And all this short are on YouTube, instagram and tiktok. I’m also adapting the script to some article that I’m putting on my blog or my LinkedIn. I’m also trying when I have some times to make some cool video for my music and putting it on all platforms. The only other things that I’m creating is a podcast and a weekly mail for my community. That’s all ✨
Who do you listen to?
I'm just wondering who your main inspirations are & what type of music are you writing based off of those inspirations?

main inspirations : Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura Now, I’m listening a lot of eclectic music from VGM to some experimental electronic music. I think it’s helping me to find some new textures. And if I need to make a list of the most influential artists, including the two one above : - Ben Prunty - Kevin Penkin - Carpenter Brut - Toby Fox - Lifeformed - Darren Korb
"Checking In: How Are You All Doing?"
Isolation and loneliness are common challenges that composers, musicians, producers, and other creative professionals have grappled with throughout history. Even in our technologically advanced age, these issues have not miraculously disappeared. Iconic figures like Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin were surrounded by admirers, yet still experienced profound loneliness at times - it simply comes with the territory. From a young age, my own composing process has driven me into periods of intense isolation and focus. I would sometimes practice piano for 8-9 hours a day, with my parents having to bring me meals just to ensure I took breaks. Yet they were my greatest champions, never discouraging my musical obsession. Many of my friends have different passions, so my isolating work habits can be frustrating for them. But the ones who have made an effort to understand the mind of a passionate composer have become lifelong supporters, even when I've had to decline social invitations to meet deadlines. The others have drifted away, sadly but perhaps fortunately. So I remain professionally isolated, as do many in our creative community. But we need each other, even if we don't always admit it. That's why I ask with genuine care: HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING? Life has been hectic for me on multiple fronts, and having someone inquire about my well-being prompts me to truly reflect - not just plow ahead while battling isolation and difficulties. Our personal struggles inevitably influence our creative process. So my aim is for us to take stock of where we're at, both professionally and personally. You never know who in this community might be experiencing something similar and could offer valuable support. Of course, share only what you're comfortable with. But don't feel you have to go it alone, especially when it comes to career challenges. Sometimes just having a listening ear can make all the difference. So again I ask - "HOW ARE YOU DOING", my fellow composers, musicians, and creatives? I hope you all have an amazing day or evening, wherever you are. 😉

Okay I’m gonna try to be concise : 1- I’m a big introvert but every evening I’m on Discord talking and playing with my friends for at least 1h. I’m also trying to see them one time per month and they all understand my job without any problems. 2- I’m also doing some events in my video game field. Because in Paris we have at 1 to 3 events per month, so I’m always seeing new people 3- since I’m 11 years old, I’ve always experimented on my own, like I was going to school and then when I was back home, I was learning some stuff like video editing or photo editing and then later music. And If tomorrow I’ll need to meet new people just because I feel alone, I’ll do it online through some discords and I’ll find a little hobby outside and let some new friends. TLDR : i'm doing fine haha Hope it will help some other introverts like me!
