ELVIS PRESLEY made money. Priscilla built wealth.
My radio played an old Elvis song and I got thinking….. When Elvis died in 1977, (I was tiny but gutted btw) … but Priscilla wasn’t handed a golden empire. She was handed: • Graceland — which was losing millions a year • A tiny inheritance for Lisa Marie • No cash • Debts, a legal mess, and no ongoing income (as Elvis had signed away a lot of his music rights) Most people would have sold everything just to survive. But Priscilla didn’t. She made one of the boldest wealth moves I’ve ever seen — she turned a financial burden into a generational asset. She transformed Graceland from a liability into: • one of the most visited houses in America • a profitable tourist destination • the centre of a global Elvis brand • a business worth over £100 million • long-term security for her daughter and grandchildren And she did all of this without singing a note. Read that again. It reminded me that wealth isn’t always about talent or what you earn in life or how good you are or even how popular — it’s about what you build, what you protect, and what you refuse to give up on for your family. If Priscilla can turn a massive debt and cash losing asset into a huge legacy, then surely we can take the little opportunities in front of us and shape them into something powerful too. I’m early on my journey. But I truly believe that the best is yet to come. Like and vibe me a song title if you believe its little less conversation… a little more action! 😜😜😜😁😁😁 x 🎸
