Really good to know, thanks for sharing! Had to check a couple of features to make they were turned off 😄
Instagram’s CEO vs. The Data — Who’s Right?
This week’s Hot This Week from InstaClubHub talks about how Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, claimed last week that Instagram’s new Edits app will help you get “a little more reach” on Reels. Funny thing? Just a few months ago, he said it wouldn’t affect reach at all. So… did the algorithm change? Or is this just a gentle push to get creators using their shiny new toy? For those not in the loop: The Edits app is Instagram’s CapCut clone. You edit inside it → post directly to IG. Mosseri’s caveat was clear: if you try to “pass through” (edit in CapCut, upload into Edits, and post), the algorithm will know — and you won’t get the same bump. Here’s the problem… Last week, InstaClubHub ran a study on a few thousand Reels. Edited in CapCut. Edited in Instagram. Edited in Edits. Result? No meaningful difference in reach or engagement. That’s right — the “little more reach” Mosseri teased didn’t show up in the data. Maybe he’s looking at different numbers. Maybe the bump is so small it’s statistically invisible. Or maybe… it’s strategic PR to get creators inside Edits without promising the moon. Either way — here’s what you actually need to know: The #1 thing that still moves the algorithm isn’t your editing app. It’s the quality of your content. Good ideas. Strong hooks. Retention. Emotional pull. And as a Pet Creator, MyBarkBot can help you with that! So edit in whatever you like: CapCut, Edits, Premiere, iMovie, Instagram itself. The tool doesn’t make the post — you do. Don’t burn creative energy chasing Instagram’s current favorite feature. Use the editing process that makes you fastest and most consistent — and focus your brainpower on making content worth watching. What’s your take? Do you believe Mosseri’s “little more reach” claim… or do you think it’s just algorithm theatre? 👀

I edited three videos in the edits app couple of days ago (I only partially did the edit there), and those videos got a little more reach than normal, one better than the other two. May have been a coincidence though, I’ll do it again and watch the results 🙂

I'm starting a new program called Pawfit My Petstagram with a BRAND NEW account to test the system's effectiveness. Since @BarktoBank has been mostly about digital marketing with pets + my own products, I am excited to test this course, especially designed for pet creators, to see how well it works. Starting from zero, today. I'm excited to track the progress. Follow our journey if you are interested here. The account is a little sad right now since I literally JUST created it an hour ago. Today is Day 1. Let's goooooo

🐾 What the TikTok Ban Means for Pet Creators (if it even happens this time)
Okay fam, here’s what the Sept. 17 TikTok ban could mean for our world as pet creators: 🐶 1. There’s about to be a flood of displaced creators. If TikTok really gets the boot, expect millions of creators, many of them pet accounts, scrambling to rebuild on Instagram, YouTube Shorts, or new apps. That means more competition for visibility… and brand deals. 🐱 2. Reels will be the new battleground. Instagram will probably love the attention at first. But Reels could get oversaturated FAST. The “cute dog” space isn’t niche anymore...it’s crowded. If your content isn’t strategic? It’ll get buried. 🐰 3. Smaller pet creators have a MASSIVE opportunity. You’re not starting over. You’re already here, building. While big TikTok names panic, YOU can lean into your strengths, show consistency, and become the account brands start watching. 🐾 4. Brands will shift budget to Instagram. A lot of influencer dollars currently sit with TikTok. If brands can’t use it anymore? They’ll reroute that money—fast. Pet creators with clean profiles, engaged audiences, and niche clarity will be in high demand. (Media kits ready, besties?) 🦴 5. Monetization > follower count. This ban is your reminder that platforms are fragile. If you’ve been putting off digital products, email lists, or diversifying income—now is the time. Your pet is adorable, but that alone won’t pay the vet bill if the algorithm ghosts you. 💡 Bottom line: If TikTok disappears, chaos follows—and that’s your opening. Stay grounded, stay niche-smart, and start building a content system that can survive any platform shif! What do you guys think? Are you doing anything to stay ahead?

I just started my IG account, so I haven’t been thinking about TikTok and what may happen there. But I hope it doesn’t get banned, both for the people on TT and for us .

@Lauren Oakley you’re probably right 🙂
Hi! I’m Astrid!
Thanks for the invite, very excited to be here!😍 My CEO is a Shiba called Tara . She’s soon turning 12, but still in good shape 🙂🐕 My niche is to help dog parents grow and monetize their pup’s IG. I started doing this because I want to eventually be able to stay home with Tara so she doesn’t have to spend day after day being home alone. I am currently working on getting one sale per week. Our IG handle is @shibabossbabe
