Welcome to the Leash-Free Lounge!
This is not a course. It’s not a content tip dumpster fire. It’s a collective for pet lovers, pet creators and petinfluencers who are done posting alone in silence. Here, we co-create. We swap wins. We cry about the algorithm sometimes. We build real momentum without burning out or selling our souls for 17 cents of affiliate commission. You’re officially in the pack now. Make an intro post if you want. Tell us your CEO’s name (your pet, obvi), your niche, and one thing you’re working on or stuck on. React, reply, and make someone feel seen...this isn’t a ghost town. Bring the chaos, but respect the space. (More on that in the Pack Rules.) Let’s turn cute content into connections, then community, then ✨coin✨. Bark freely. Build boldly. You belong here.
It feels like Instagram is Changing more than ever… But These 3 Growth Rules Still Work
Instagram seems to roll out new features faster than our pets shed in summer (hello, Reposts tab 👀). It’s enough to make any creator feel like they’ll never catch up. But according to Brock Johnson from InstaClub Hub, the rules of growth haven’t actually changed. In his Hot This Week update, Brock said: “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” And he’s right. If you focus on these three timeless Instagram strategies, you’ll keep growing — no matter what shiny new features show up in your feed. 1. Niche Down Like Your Pet Chooses Their Favorite Toy The fastest way to grow isn’t being “for everyone.” It’s being the go-to account for a specific who + what. - Who: the audience you’re attracting (dog moms, cat dads, rescue lovers, reptile keepers). - What: the topic or problem you’re solving (training hacks, funny voiceovers, rescue stories, enrichment tips, reviews). 👉 Brock’s reminder: the more you niche down, the faster you’ll grow loyal fans who actually convert to customers. 2. Optimize Your Profile = Instant Treat Appeal Brock also stressed that your Instagram profile is like a storefront. People decide in 7 seconds whether to follow you. His rules for bios: - Line 1: Clear niche statement (what you post + who it’s for). - Lines 2–3: Add credibility (awards, experience, results). - Line 4: Strong call-to-action (follow for tips, click the link, watch highlights). 👉 Keep it to 4 lines or less — any more, and Instagram might cut it off. 3. Post Share-Worthy Content (Not Just Cute Pics) Finally, Brock said it plain: the more you post, the more you grow. But not just anything — your content has to be share-worthy. Share-worthy content is: - Relatable (“omg, that’s my dog too”) - Emotional (funny, inspiring, shocking) - Valuable (teaches, helps, solves a problem) 👉 Pro move: use Trial Reels to test what works before posting to your main feed .

Instagram’s CEO vs. The Data — Who’s Right?
This week’s Hot This Week from InstaClubHub talks about how Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, claimed last week that Instagram’s new Edits app will help you get “a little more reach” on Reels. Funny thing? Just a few months ago, he said it wouldn’t affect reach at all. So… did the algorithm change? Or is this just a gentle push to get creators using their shiny new toy? For those not in the loop: The Edits app is Instagram’s CapCut clone. You edit inside it → post directly to IG. Mosseri’s caveat was clear: if you try to “pass through” (edit in CapCut, upload into Edits, and post), the algorithm will know — and you won’t get the same bump. Here’s the problem… Last week, InstaClubHub ran a study on a few thousand Reels. Edited in CapCut. Edited in Instagram. Edited in Edits. Result? No meaningful difference in reach or engagement. That’s right — the “little more reach” Mosseri teased didn’t show up in the data. Maybe he’s looking at different numbers. Maybe the bump is so small it’s statistically invisible. Or maybe… it’s strategic PR to get creators inside Edits without promising the moon. Either way — here’s what you actually need to know: The #1 thing that still moves the algorithm isn’t your editing app. It’s the quality of your content. Good ideas. Strong hooks. Retention. Emotional pull. And as a Pet Creator, MyBarkBot can help you with that! So edit in whatever you like: CapCut, Edits, Premiere, iMovie, Instagram itself. The tool doesn’t make the post — you do. Don’t burn creative energy chasing Instagram’s current favorite feature. Use the editing process that makes you fastest and most consistent — and focus your brainpower on making content worth watching. What’s your take? Do you believe Mosseri’s “little more reach” claim… or do you think it’s just algorithm theatre? 👀
