The 8 Habit Rules That Actually Create Momentum (Read This Slowly)
I heard this from a training I was on yesterday morning and it really stuck so I wanted to share it with everyone in this group. Enjoy! Most of us don’t fail because we lack information. We fail because our habits don’t support the identity, we say that we want. This post isn’t about motivation. It’s about installing behaviors that compound. Let’s break it down. 1️⃣ Identity Beats Willpower Stop asking: “What do I want to achieve?” Start asking: “Who am I becoming?” Your behavior will always match your identity. If you identify as: “Someone trying to post more” → inconsistency “Someone building authority” → systems, reps, patience Better question: What would a disciplined, in-demand agent do on a boring Tuesday? That’s your blueprint. 2️⃣ Tiny Actions Compound If the habit feels almost too easy… you’re doing it right. • One post beats five drafted • One DM beats ten ideas • One system beat hustle Intensity feels good. Consistency builds businesses. 3️⃣ Environment > Motivation Motivation is unreliable. Environment is permanent. Make good habits: • Obvious • Easy • Default Make bad habits: • Hard to access • Friction-filled • Invisible Your environment should pull you forward without willpower. 4️⃣ Never Miss Twice Missing once is human. Missing twice is a pattern. This is not about perfection. It’s about rapid recovery. Miss a workout? Miss a post? Miss a DM day? Recover immediately. Momentum isn’t built by never slipping. It’s built by getting back in motion fast. 5️⃣ Track Behavior, Not Just Outcomes Outcomes lag. Behavior leads. Instead of only tracking: • Leads • Closings • Revenue Track: • Posts published • Conversations started • Follow-ups completed Control the inputs. The outputs follow. 6️⃣ Expect Resistance If it feels uncomfortable, good. Resistance: • Builds stamina • Reveals commitment • Filters amateurs from professionals Don’t interpret resistance as a sign to stop. It’s proof you’re doing something worth doing. 7️⃣ Consistency Creates Motivation
