🎥 RESQ Sneak Peek — First 3 Videos Now in the Crew
Filming the RESQ module in batches, so these aren't dropping in perfect order — but the content stands on its own. These are barely edited, straight from the training room. A preview of what we'll cover in depth during the Academy. RESQ Overview: What the RESQ method is, why it exists, and the legal basics every rider should know — Good Samaritan law, informed vs. implied consent, and your scope as a bystander. Stop Major Bleeds: The three techniques: direct pressure, tourniquet use, and wound packing. Hands-on demo with a training dummy and a blue training tourniquet. This is the meat and potatoes of RESQ. Trauma Kit Overview: What I carry in my fanny pack and why — four CAT tourniquets, QuikClot combat gauze, chest seals, trauma shears, and the "boo-boo pocket." How to set up your own kit so it stays with you on the bike. More RESQ videos are still in production — Remain Calm, Ensure Your Own Safety, and Quickly Assess Severity are on deck. Once everything's filmed, I'll organize the full watch order so the module flows start to finish. For now — watch these, take notes, and if you haven't taken a Stop the Bleed class yet, put it on your list.

@Daniel Tolomei Might want to fix/dub over "a person can BLEED within 5 minutes of a major bleed" though. :) I assume you meant "die". [Shivers at the thought] How terrifying.
Experience vs. Camera view
LOL -- so I had a weird situation where someone in a white SUV who was IMO being overly aggressive in "beating me" to the red lights with traffic in front of us both, but she was in the lane next to me (yeah... i don't get that either lol). Eventually she had to get behind me to avoid a turning lane and ahead there was only a single lane. So for about 2 miles of being behind me and multiple red-lights, she got a small window of opportunity to pass and took it (aggressively) so I assume she was happy as anything that she got to get in front with the way she passed. I was glad too because she was making me nervous being next to and/or behind me. BUT when going back to the footage on the 360 to post it here, it seemed like NOTHING at all compared to the experience. LOL Anyone else have that experience? Is it just not as bad as we think it is in the moment, or does the camera distort the danger to make it seem not as bad as it really is? lol

@Dave Klod sorry about your crash. Glad you're ok. Also glad to hear it's not just me with the camera and "nothing burgers" lol

@Robert Moeser Oh wow. Interesting! What's funny is I'm the opposite. I'd ride a chair lift 1000 ft above ground but --- while I don't have a fear of heights in general, or claustrophobia -- I have high-anxiety when I'm in enclosed things that go high... such as Ferris Wheels cages -- the ones that lock you in from the outside cause me extreme anxiety. I've never been in a gondola but just the thought makes my stomach flip. lol
Back in the saddle again!
Back riding around our “neighborhood” after my surgery and oh my I wish I had that 360 already. I live in such a beautiful place, cattle and farming all over the place. We took our Himalayas over the squiggliest, most dusty, dirt road today and I’ve confirmed I’m an adventure rider at heart. I’ll be buying a camera next month and will take you with us God willing! I did learn something, don’t use that stupid brake while turning, I saved it because I powered through but I was so close to eating that corner! Slow down, don’t grab too much clutch, keep it loaded and use power to keep it up! Di

MotoJitsu has a lot of great tutorial vids on turns -- from sharp corners and uphill corners to twisties and downhill windies. That's where I learned NOT to use my clutch on turns. Great for low-speed maneuvering but in regular speed turns it's not a great idea. He explains why. Check him out if you get a chance.

@Diana Ramirez I love the Cardos! I bought the Spirit HD duo pack for me and a friend who was learning at the same time and he thought I was insane to buy them. He thought it was stupid... but once he experienced it, he was like.. these are awesome, what a great idea! lol We've talked each other through various situations and without them we would only be able to watch and hope the other would get through it. Seriously best thing for riders. Even for rider and a passenger.
NEW HELMET ALERT!!!
Alpinestars S-R7 I love the colorway matches my bike PERFECTLY I can't wait to get a dark smoke visor to complete the look

Awesome! Love it!
Something I realized and thought I'd share
When coming to a stop at an intersection like this and you're first in line try to position yourself at the green box if that particular intersection does not have a dedicated left turn lane reason being is sometimes a car will cut that corner short where the red box is especially if they are trying to beat the light they'll take the blue line rather than the purple line
Something I realized and thought I'd share

Agreed. They even tried to eliminate that from happening near me on side roads by making them all one ways for this reason alone -- people don't know how to make turns. We all have to suffer with new laws, rules, directions/positioning, speed bumps, lights, and/or stop signs because of people who have no clue how to drive. Insane whether you're in a car or on a motorcycle.
