You're Already an Authority. Do You Believe It?
You don't become an authority because you finally write the book, give the talk, or find the right words. Your authority already exists through everything you've lived, learned, and come to know. What you create gives that authority a form someone else can receive. What do you know now that someone else may need to receive?

This is truth for me. I ramble on and on, and have trouble settling on the right words to express what i am trying to say.

@Pamela Lynch I do recognize them when I hear them. but putting them altogether in a coherent way seems to elude me lol
Your Body of Work
Your body of work doesn't begin when you sit down to create it. It already exists in fragments. A paragraph you wrote three years ago. A list of quotes, ideas, and random entries in Notes. A workshop you taught once. A question that keeps surfacing in client conversations. An unfinished chapter hidden on your Google Drive. Something you wrote in a journal that later became part of your methodology. A conversation that inspired you or changed how you think. An idea that became a framework you've been refining. Before creating more, look at what you've already created. Then bring it into your Sacred Writing practice. Choose one fragment that still feels alive and begin there. What does it want to become?

@Pamela Lynch Normally, this is my quiet time... I like to take my drives and away time when it's not so busy out there. I am planning a trip in October to go see my kids for a few days.
September 3: Write What You Want to Create
Kristen Valus shares that September 3 is the first 3-6-9 Manifesting Power Day of the month. Her invitation feels particularly fitting for Sacred Writing: Think it. Feel it. Write it. Express it. Then take the first step. What do you want to put into words—and begin creating—today?

Love it! Stepping into that energy!
Provincial State of Emergency
The smoke is as heavy as our hearts here in the Okanagan. I've been quiet these past few days as friends, family of friends, and 20,000 people have been evacuated on the west side of Okanagan Lake. There is a provincial state of emergency in BC. Please take a moment to pray with me for all the people, homes, and animals affected by the wildfires in BC and in the Okanagan, and just south of us in Washington and Oregon. I pray no more homes and properties are lost ... 230 in the Quilpituk Creek Wildfire (west side of Vernon), and they are not yet able to access the loss in Summerland due to the Bald Range wildfire. I pray stillness in the air remains and rain falls gently. My family is safe and while life is uncertain and our hearts are sad, life does goes on even amidst the chaos. I was able to spend time with my son and granddaughter yesterday, go shopping and attend a baby shower for one of my best friend's daughter. And since I was in West Kelowna, I visited another best friend. (West Kelowna is directly across the lake from me, and the fire storms are raging out of control North and South of the their community). The lay of the land is hard to wrap your head around. Before I moved to Kelowna and worked in the Toronto office, I was so confused by all the colleges in the Okanagan. They were all named Okanagan College ... Kelowna Campus, Vernon Campus, Penticton Campus, and Salmon Arm Campus. The Okanagan Valley is a region in South Central BC where Okanagan Lake is surrounded by mountains. It is a four hour drive from Kelowna to Vancouver with two high mountain passes between us. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts. Praying your Sunday is peaceful. Some of our smoke is from the wildfires in Washington and Oregon. Where are you in the world? Are you safe? Let us bring you into our awareness and prayers.

Yes... it's been a scary and overwhelming time. While we are now safe here, family and friends are displaced and on the verge of evacuation. The smoke is a "heavy" reminder of what we are feeling and what is happening all around us here in the Okanagan. I sit in stillness an prayer often through the day. 🙏
