First meeting booked
How did you guys feel when you managed to book your first meeting over a cold call? How many attempts did it take you to get it?

Because i first took the time to learn basics and only 3 weeks into my learning i decided to finally give it a go. I contacted 2 companies and managed to get a meeting on the second call!! It's either the luck of a beginner or I'm already on a good path π I have to admit tho that the person on the phone was really nice so it made it much easier.

First approach to cold calling
Whenever you were starting to cold call for the first time, did you first learn on the internet or did you jump into the cold calls right away?

I'm the kind of person that first has to know at least the basics of things to freely get myself into doing it. As my sales position is currently only an internship, I am using it mainly as a network building approach. I feel like if I make a good first impression on the HR managers/directors, then it might pay off later on by making the approach for a job interview a bit easier because they might remember me from the past. Although I do realise that the earlier i start calling, the quicker I'll learn because I will be able to analyze what I'm doing wrong right away.

Hi everyone! I'm Arek, a 25 year old Global Supply Chain Management student from Brussels, Belgium. I just started an internship in a Sales & Marketing position and i decided to improve my skills by reading advice from the course and also from people's experiences before i actually make a cold call for the first time. My fiancee is also a farmer for British American Tobbaco so I have a personal coach at home although my current position is a hunter position π
