Namaste!
Hi! Arkadipta here from India. I got this addiction when I was about 17 years old, realized how much damage it was doing to me physically and mentally about 4 years ago thats when I stumbled upon NoFap. Tried several methods suggested by the NoFap community but with no luck, I always relapsed. The longest streak I went was 6 months, which was about 2 years ago, but then fell back into it and from then on kept relapsing every week, sometimes I feel like this horrible addiction has got this power over me which disgusts me from the inside. It feels like compulsion now. Right now, I've started Dan's method of overcoming this, I think its a better way of tackling this and retraining the brain. Stay strong brothers!

@Rhett Strawbridge yes brother. That time it was just willpower, i wanted this parasite off of my life, but eventually that willpower started wearing off as I got used to not PMOing and as soon as my guard was a bit down it got me. I think the solution is to work on things that actually brings joy long term to your life and investing as much time as possible in them. Along with that following Dan's method should also help in building a new brain pathway for whenever an urge hits. This way we can take back control from the parasite. Urges are not inherently bad, as men we crave real intimacy with women both physically and mentally. And if one is fortunate enough to meet a high quality woman, that should be enough reason for us to quit. Just do it for her if not for yourself.
