I recently took the role of dispatcher for my boyfriend. He’s an owner/operator and the dispatcher he was using wasn’t working out so he asked me to do it. I just want to learn more about it so I can help him build his business.
Well, it’s not easy by no means! I’m just one of those people that if someone needs my help, I can’t say no! 🤣 It’s stressful but he couldn’t do it without me. I owned/operated a successful auto sales for 13 years, so I know a little about running a business. Appreciate your comment!
My boyfriend has been driving for other companies his whole life. Two years ago he decided to get his own authority. He now has two trucks and two flatbed trailers but still is just owner/operator. The dispatcher he was using wasn’t working out so he asked me to give it a try. I’ve been finding him backhauls on Truckstop. I’m just looking to learn more about this so I can help him build his business.
He’s regional right now. Past two years been hauling mainly rock from Oklahoma to Texas. He used to drive end dump with last company he worked for. There’s a lot of manual labor involved in flatbed’s so guess we are going to start keeping an eye out to buy an end dump trailer. 😊
