I use a Canon 700D, which I think is now like 11 years old but it still gets the job done well. I have recently bought a 50mm f/1.8 STM (I think it was) prime lens and have been very happy with the results ive been getting. As well as a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM, which is ok during the day I don't have problems with it but when I shoot concerts and night and they aren't very well lit it's not ideal hence why I am looking at buying a 70-200mm f/2.8 (There was a specific model that I found, but I can't mind which one it was as I am writing this) which I hope will be a bit of an upgrade. However I really need to get a new body, I am thinking of getting the 90D. Anyone here used or are using the 90D, what are your thoughts? But for the moment I have been fairly pleased with the photos that are coming out of this 11 YEAR OLD!!! camera I will start sharing some of my photos on here soon! Once again thanks for letting me into this group, some of the photos I have been seeing from people here are fascinating and its been fun seeing the different styles and methods of shooting and editing!

hey folks! just wanted to give you a little summary of the past month here inside the Concert Photo Club, and update you on some very exciting additions i've been working on behind-the-scenes for June! take a look: --- 1️⃣ WE ARE GROWING! It’s been a pretty wild month inside the Concert Photo Club! On May 1, we had 599 people in our community. Just a month later, we're about to hit 1,000! We're also climbing the ranks in Skool's Top Communities - coming in at #1711 at the time of writing. (For context, we started at about Rank #8000!) So, thank you to those who have been constantly contributing, sharing and welcoming people inside. (Shoutouts to @Angel Figueroa, @Anastasia Antono and @Fawn Horton for dominating the Top 3 spots on the 30-Day Leaderboard 💪) And to those who are new: Welcome! --- 2️⃣ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Since launching the Concert Photo Bootcamp, we’re also starting to see people doing their first shoots and officially becoming CONCERT PHOTOGRAPHERS. and tell us the backstory - why is it your #1? i know you've got one ;) drop it below! --- i'll start us off with a photo of a friend, which sums up his personality pretty well. taking photos of friends' gigs still beats any other type of show.

been laser-focused on getting the community up and running these last couple of months - it was high time i knocked the dust off the ol' camera and got back to shooting live music! i used liturallyyyy the same method that i show you in the Bootcamp to find* these shows: 1. looked through my city's gig guide to see what was on 2. narrowed my search down to venues with good lighting 3. sent Instagram DMs to the artists playing at the venues (and emails to the bigger artists) 4. got ignored by most, but accepted by a couple! side note: i'm starting to venture out of the underground scene and am reaching out to bigger artists - email definitely seems to be superior for making contact for these shows. mind you, these aren't paid gigs - i'm shooting these for free. (this gets you through bigger doors, faster - i wonder why) just wanted to show you that what you learn in the beginning can be applied all the way up to getting into theatre-sized shows - i want to find out if i can take it further (stadiums? festivals?) p.s. here are some of my faves from last night - experimenting a little with throwing GREEN into the shadows - kinda funky p.p.s. it's my first time sharing pics to the community, so i'm pretty fuckin stoked about that! edit: i said that this was the method i show you in the Bootcamp, but that’s not true - sending DMs & emails is something i’ll show in the Masterclass.
