11 days ago I asked this community a question. What makes you hit follow on someone? Like actually commit? The responses were so good. But one answer stopped me in my tracks and turned into a whole blog post. @Anne Marie Wade said something that I haven't been able to stop thinking about. So instead of just replying, I wrote about it. That's the thing about your comment sections. They're not just engagement. They're content waiting to happen. Real questions, real perspectives, real language your audience is already using. You don't have to start from scratch. Sometimes the best content you'll create this week is already sitting in a conversation you had. Here's the blog 👇 attached. Now I want to flip it back to you: where have YOU found unexpected content ideas lately? A DM, a client call, a comment thread?

What makes you hit follow?
What makes you hit follow on someone — like actually commit? We all have that moment where we go from "oh this is good" to "I need more of this." What tips you over the edge?

For me it’s when someone feels genuine Not polished or trying to be perfect… just someone sharing what they’re actually learning, building, or figuring out as they go honestly That always grabs my attention I also notice when someone shows up consistently Over time you start to feel like you know them and you trust what they’re sharing That’s usually the moment I hit follow — when it feels like a real person behind the content, not just content for the sake of it

If You’re About to “Just Post Something,” Pause.
Before you start thinking you need more ideas, more hooks, more volume… pause. You probably don’t need to post more this week. You might just need a sharper angle. So instead of surface-level content, here are a few ways to stretch your positioning a little. Pick one. Maybe two. That’s it. 1️⃣ The Step Before the Step What has to happen before someone is actually ready to hire you or buy from you? Most people sell the outcome. Educate on readiness. 2️⃣ If I Had to Charge Double… If your pricing doubled tomorrow, what would you explain more clearly in your content? What would you stop tolerating? This one sharpens your messaging instantly. 3️⃣ This Isn’t for You If… Instead of persuading, filter. Name a few situations where your offer genuinely isn’t the right fit. Strong brands repel well. 4️⃣ The 3 Levels of [What You Do] Break your work into beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Help your audience self-identify where they actually are. 5️⃣ The Tool I Use Differently Is there a common tool or method in your industry that you use in a slightly unconventional way? Explain why. Distinction > noise. If you use one of these, drop it below when it’s live. Let’s build sharper positioning this week. 🔥

Messy Middle of Q1 — Let’s Check In
Happy March 1st. A fresh month and a Sunday all in one. I love ❤️ love that timing. 🌱 Welcome to our first Winning Sunday of March 2026. Before the new week picks up speed, let’s pause for a moment and check in. What’s one thing from this past week that deserves a little recognition? It could be: • a quiet win • something still in progress • a decision you’re sitting with • a realization about your content, business, or energy • or even something you chose to stop doing to protect your capacity March often feels like a reset month. Not the pressure of January. Not the chaos of year-end. Just a steady place to realign. Personally, I always think of March as a “messy middle” season in business and content. You’re building, refining, adjusting, not starting from scratch, but not at the finish line either. So this is your space to share: One win. One work-in-progress. Or one thought that’s been looping in your mind lately. Clear or messy is welcome here. Always. 🤍

@James Edward It’s so true. We were taught how to perform… not how to feel. How to be polite… not how to be honest. How to achieve… not how to connect. And now so many adults are quietly trying to unlearn that and come back to themselves. That gap you’re talking about — that’s the work. And I think the more we speak about it openly, the less alone people feel in it. Appreciate you seeing that 🙌
