Don't Punish Today for Yesterday's Troubles
Good Morning My Fabulous Ladies...One of my favorite quotes I keep in the back of my journal is: “Don’t punish today because of what happened yesterday.” 🌸 Each new sunrise is a fresh start, a clean page, and a chance to step forward with lighter energy. Yesterday may have brought challenges or heavy feelings, but today doesn’t have to carry that same weight. Give yourself permission to release what no longer serves you and welcome in the peace, joy, and possibility this day has to offer. ✨ Every moment is an opportunity to choose differently, to shift your mindset, and to nurture yourself with love and grace. What is a quote you try to carry with you on a daily basis?
Don't Punish Today for Yesterday's Troubles
This isn’t one I use daily, but that I heard put this way today for the first time. It made me smile and take note. Partly bc it was funny/cute and partly bc it reminded me that it’s ok even though life isn’t all roses... It came out of the mouth of a Swedish man in recovery and he said this; ”Livet är inte bara glass och ballonger” (translated it means; Life isn’t all ice cream and balloons). It was so very endearing, especially coming from this hard but very sweet man. I’m not sure I’m getting my point across but thought I’d share all the same. Be well friends. 🌻

Yoga mindset applied to Life
Good morning Lovelies, Happy Sunday! Today I wanted to share a thought that was put to me by a YouTube yoga teacher I follow. Her name is Charlie Follows. I highly recommend you checking her out. She is fabulous. Here are her thoughts on “steady wins the race” type of mindset. “Have you ever noticed how much urgency sneaks into the way we approach progress? We tell ourselves:“If I can just get there quicker…”“If I work harder, push more, I’ll be ahead…” It sounds logical. But in my experience, speed rarely delivers the results we think it will. Here’s the part that feels almost backwards:The students who move fastest aren’t the ones who try to rush. They’re the ones who slow down. Let me explain. A while ago, one of my students—let’s call her Emma—was determined to learn handstand in record time. Every practice, she went straight for the full pose: kicking up hard, falling back down, then trying again. Some days she’d spend 30 minutes just repeating the same kick-up, breathless and frustrated, convinced that sheer effort would tip her into balance. At first, she felt progress. Her legs floated a little lighter, she almost held for a second or two. But soon her wrists started aching from the impact, her shoulders carried a constant dull tightness, and her mind turned restless. The joy that had sparked her practice started to slip away. By week four, she wasn’t building confidence anymore - she was second-guessing whether she’d ever get there. Contrast that with another student, Maya, who approached her handstand differently. Instead of chasing the full pose every time, she broke it down into pieces. Some days she’d just practice shifting weight into her hands in downward dog, noticing how her palms gripped the mat. Other days she’d spend a few minutes in a wall-assisted tuck, paying attention to how her core engaged when she drew her knees in. Her sessions were short—five, maybe ten minutes—but deliberate. She gave herself permission to stop before fatigue set in, to let her body absorb the work instead of grinding past the point of focus.

@Sherry Fields So true. Being kind and patient with oneself isn’t always taught, but something the years teach you. That’s a beautiful scripture - same sentiment. 🫶
Shaving after care
Any beauty on a budget recommendations for ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation? I shave my chin and I am looking to minimize both 😌

Ok, so it’s an IPL laser hair removal device. It doubles with settings for skin treatment as well. I only use the hair removal part bc I have a different device for red light therapy that I prefer for calming my skin. The IPL wasn’t terribly expensive, and you get a gazillion pulses out of it. Well worth the money.

PS. My specific one is no longer offered on Amazon, but it was in the $50-60 range and like I said it has worked wonders. No need to invest in the high dollar ones. 🤓
Rose Oasis Facial Steam🌹
Good Afternoon ladies! Has anyone tried a facial steam before? I love them! If you want to have a rosy glow, this gentle steam of rose petals nourishes the skin to baby-like softness. ✨ What you need: 1 oz dried Rose Petals Rose essential oil 20 Drops How to prepare: 1.) Bring 4 quarts (4L) of water to an almost boil; add rose petals. Turn off heat and cover with a lid. Let sit for 15 minutes. 2.) Open lid and quickly add rose essential oil. Close lid again for 2 minutes. 3.) Carry pot to a safe place, not on the stove, a place where you can easily lean over into the steam. 4.) Be sure your hair is pulled back. Open lid and let the steam breathe off. Lean into the steam for short stints to get a nice heat to the face. You can also use a towel over your head to "hold in" the steam. 5.) Steam for 15 to 20 mins and then rinse your face with warm water. 6.) You'll have glowy and dewy skin for the rest of the day!
