hoomans… your emperor is wide awake and checking who’s actually part of this little cult. Today we do a paw-fficial Roll Call Ritual 🐾. Your hooman mission is to comment: - Who are you? - Why did you land here in hoomans.? - What’s one thing you want from this community? No pitch, no performance. Just real hoomans stepping out of their shadows. Drop your comment below. Your emperor reads EVERYTHING and is already handing out invisible fluffy medals to the brave ones. 🐈‍⬛👑 Yours truly, The Skool Cat, Emperor of Culture 🐈‍⬛✨

Spared the kitty shots
So not on my BINGO card for 2025, today I found out my cat is diabetic. He only has one kidney, and over the weekend started spraying stuff. He has never sprayed stuff so I made an appointment with the vet to check if he had a UTI. Nope no UTI. Straight up diabetes. (He had his annual and blood work done 2 months ago and was fine) Even the vet was like I wasn't expecting that. My cat is not overweight he has always been in the ideal weight range so it was a surprise. So usually the treatment is insulin with twice daily shots. But they just recently came out with a once a day oral med. So we opted to try that. The kicker ... the meds will be at least 100$ a month. But hey now my cat won't be subjected to daily shots and in case of an insulin shortage won't die cause this med is a cat med. That was my kindness post. Cause it is gonna be an expensive few months while we do repeated labs to make sure he responds to this meds. I know people who have put down their cats for this.

So sorry about your cat. Hope the oral meds fix this. Can you claim on insurance or is it exempt or there's an excess?

@Rebecca Bautista that’s such a tricky and expensive situation. We cancelled pet insurance on an 13yo dog and put the same fee aside in a Tessa pot for any vet fees.
