Question
What are ways to revive a little potted aloe vera plant from yellow translucent state, from getting too cold? And how often does a little 3 inch aloe need some water? and how much water? Thanks!

So, for anyone following along the lemon drama at Liberty Homestead... We have a 15 year old lemon tree that was planted by previous folk here after the 2009 Black Saturday bushfire disaster. Last Autumn (fall), the tree was nearly destroyed. We thought it might be a deer, they live in the forest near us and come up in the when it gets cooler. We had no proof though apart from a lemon tree reduced to a pile of twigs and one stem surviving. So, into action we swooped. I fed and nurtured the lemon tree and it came back to life with vigour. I went out to harvest my very first lemons since getting here 15 months ago (losing last year's whole crop to the invader). My 23 yo son got two trail cameras from FB marketplace for his birthday. We set them up. Well, well, suspicions validated. We caught one of our kangaroos on camera, all good, they don't damage anything. Then 'click' 'click' we got a stag on camera. Cheeky bugger looked straight at it. Being unable to shoot him here, we set up the cameras at our neighbour's house. They back directly onto the forest. We got photos of our stag, another younger stag, 6 does and they were all headed to my place. So, our neighbours are shooting them, we are getting meat from them, any entrails are being used to lure the foxes in and shoot them. We are all sharing fur from the foxes and leftovers are being ground by the local butcher to be put into our gardens.

Wow! That is amazing what you are able to do once you identified the culprit of the lemon tree destruction. Nice that you get the benefit from the intruder in multiple ways. That sounds like a good way to sustain your garden, and enjoy the meat and furs that come along with stopping the tree destroyer. Way to Go Mate!💝

I live in Layton, Utah. I have a son who loves to garden, so I wanted a resource for my youth to be able to get his questions answered. I have a brown thumb when it comes to gardening. I can kill almost any plant fast (accidentally). Who knows how to revive an aloe Vera? I put it outside for some sunshine, and a cold snap came and the aloe didn't like the 40 to 50 degree temps, and turned translucent yellow from the healthy green it had been.

I also love board games, and I love books. I'm also hoping to garden and get something to grow.
