Welcome!
Thank you to our new members and my apologies for the delay in some content. I have been extremely busy evaluating the 1-2-1 business and I've decided that group sessions are the way to go! I'm looking to grow my group sessions as now, each new member brings another £10 to the 'hourly rate' with no extra admin. I believe that many people can improve the efficiency of the admin with the use of AI (incrementally not going the whole hog straight away) and provide a better service which can justify increasing prices should you wish to. This isn't a flex at all, I just want to share with you what a normal guy did in 6 months of working on this solidly using the strategies within my videos. My average rate per 50 minute session has more than doubled and I'm still getting near to 100% conversion rates on conversations with leads that come my way. Because I'm quoting significantly higher figures, people assume you're a better tutor (which hopefully you are!) and there's still room to drop your figure slightly if you want to make a sale and fill your remaining sessions. However, with a group there is no cap. I'm doing the sessions almost like a 'stream' experience with students interacting via the chat so if you can get a decent number in there, it will overtake whatever you feel you can charge for 1-2-1 and you can start paring that back or just keep growing your revenue. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will do my best to get back to you ASAP. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Rob

This is very inspiring! Thank you for sharing. I have a question about teaching children with dyscalculia. Do you have any tips on how to support them ? Thank you in advance!

@Rob Wakeling Hi Rob, thanks for your reply. One thing I’ve particularly noticed is the importance of sticking to one method when practising a topic together. Introducing “alternative” or “easier” methods for answering the same type of question can actually undo some of the progress made. I’ve also found that focusing on exam style questions from the start seems to help. I’ve been trying to find some online courses to learn more about dyscalculia, as it’s not something I’m very familiar with.
Update
Hi everyone, Sorry that I have been AWOL the past week or so but this resit course has been absolutely crazy. Yesterday I secured my 23rd sale of the course and I still have another couple of days before it starts! That isn't a flex at all, I just hope that it inspires you a little to try something that you have been putting off for years (like I have!). I was scared of putting myself out there and I still don't know if it's going to be successful but the business is taking off as a result. I am super overwhelmed by it and scared that it will all go wrong but I'm also grateful to have this opportunity to try and support a large number of students and parents in fulfilling their goals in maths. See if you can try to take one tiny step closer to what you want to achieve today. Contact that lead, make that cringy social media post and share it with us or tag me, I would love to see it! Have a great day, Rob

Wow brilliant news! Congratulations!
New content requests!
Good morning and welcome to our new members, it's great to connect with you! I have been away for a week but I'm back now and am looking forward to creating new content and hopefully growing our tutoring businesses together! Check out the Classroom tab for videos I have created already and please let me know if there is anything in particular you would like me to discuss. From September, I will be working four days a week tutoring full time and have already booked out approximately 70% of my time slots. I have also been leveraging AI to help increase the value of the sessions and some sales techniques I have been learning on recent courses to increase revenue. I'm sure that we can all support each other but if there is anything that you would like to know, please comment below! Otherwise I will be continuing with my series that I have been creating on what I have done to nearly triple my 'hourly rate' and making this a potential career change if you wish to transition out of the classroom. Enjoy the rest of your summer - you've earned it!! Rob

@Rob Wakeling thank you and no worries - I’m looking forward to your new videos. My biggest struggle right now is finding students… If you have any tips as to how to or where to advertise / promote my tuition that would be much appreciated. Thank you ☺️
