Week 50 Mission
This week, let's examine our participation in God's mission. Are we actively engaging in making disciples, or have we become comfortable as mere spectators? How might our daily interactions change if we saw them as opportunities for mission? Let's look for practical ways to participate in God's global purpose, remembering that mission isn't just about going to distant lands but about living with gospel intentionality wherever we are.. Important: Follow along daily for the daily scripture for reflection and scripture reveal. Staying connected will help you to become more intentional in other areas of your life. Make a commitment to Start. Grab your copy of the e-guide on Reflection to help you keep track of your journey. See you this Thursday for Coffee Time at 10 am. We meet up and discuss the weekly topic and reflection points. Join us on this journey.

By the grace of God, I am currently trying to fulfill my duty to make disciples by inviting others to have Bible study with me to discuss becoming a disciple/strengthening our walk as a disciple, have created a handout to give to others that have an interest in becoming a disciple and praying for monetary means to support others as they share God's Word to make disciples. For me, I would be more bold and not let fear of the outcome for example, rejection stop me from opportunities to share Christ and fulfill my mission to make disciples.
Daily scripture for reflection
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the deadwill be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Daily scripture for reflection
2 Peter 3:10-13 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Good morning! For me, vs. 11 has been on my mind this week, that in order to be prepared for the Lord's return, I must live a holy and godly life. Holy is to be set apart for God's purposes. This is not perfection but preparation and daily intentional progress closer to a more a holy/godly life. In Exodus 34:29, Moses face shined after being in the presence of God. My life can reflect God when I have been in His presence. Therefore, a close daily relationship is essential. Consistent Bible study, mediation on the Word, obedience to the Word even when it is hard, humility, quickly confessing and repenting of sin, displaying godly character in speech/thoughts/actions and listening to God's conviction at small and large crossroads. May we seek preparation, purposeful progression and not unrealistic perfection so that we can eagerly await the coming of God! Get ready, be ready and stay ready!
Daily scripture for reflection
Jeremiah 6:16 This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

As this scripture, reminds me, each day I must be intentional about my relationship with God through prayer, Bible study, striving for displaying godly behavior/confessing/repenting when sin occurs and seek supportive spiritual relationships. Because I want to walk in the good way as explained in the passage. Daily the choice is the good, restful way or the destructive, chaotic way. The good way is the narrow, challenging way that leads to eternal life but the convenient way leads to destruction. May I choose to walk in rest, peace and the presence of God. I encourage each of us at whatever crossroad to look for good way.
Scripture reveal
The psalmist’s declaration,”Truly my soul finds rest in God alone”(Psalm 62:1-2), identifies the only reliable source of genuine rest. While we often seek rest in circumstances, relationships, or achievements, lasting rest can only be found in God. Like a boat that stops straining against the current when it drops anchor, our souls find stability and peace when anchored in God.

The analogy of stability in Christ as our anchor is very powerful! None us want to be cast around by the currents of life. May we each seek the anchor for our souls because the 🌊 waves can get strong! Very thankful God is stronger than the waves that must obey Him!
