Edinburgh Reflections
It’s been a little grey and damp these last few days in Edinburgh, and quite a few other places I see. I was hearing some places have had 37 days of rain 😳. Not that bad here so far. The last sunny day was Sunday last and I did take the opportunity of walking and taking a few photos of blue skies on my route to my usual coffee stop. Some nice reflections in the canal basin, very still waters apart from a few ripples from a solitary swan. Always good to drink a coffee and watch the world go by. As you can see not too busy.

@David William Bryan cheers mate. From my living room, well balcony just outside. Saw it rising and the contrast was a bit easier with the sky lighter.
Something Different
As it’s been so grey and damp recently I thought I might post a few photos of something much brighter and somewhat visually magnificent. I’m cheating as this is not Edinburgh but I promise to get out and about and capture a few scenes from Edinburghs lesser known beauty spots. Well they don’t get posted a lot but many still go to them. 😁. If anyone can guess where this is then please comment. The building is where you might stay. I’ll comment on the location in a few days. Enjoy.

This is up north (you guessed) quite far up north, upper Loch Torridon. A lovely place to visit especially when the weather is good to you 😎 the Torridon is the very nice hotel. Only 215 miles or so away 😁
I'M NEW HERE
Today felt like a quiet little miracle. The sun rose so gently, spilling golden light across everything it touched, as if it knew it was meant to make the day beautiful. The sky glowed in soft warmth, and for a moment, time slowed just enough for me to breathe it all in....Every ray felt like a reminder to smile, to be grateful, to feel alive. My day flowed with that same warmth peaceful, glowing, and full of simple happiness. It was one of those days that doesn’t ask for much, yet gives you everything....can I get a like and hug on my comment section.

Happy hug. Or as they say in Italian which I’m learning un abbraccio 😁
Squirrel Encounter
Today the morning rain stopped the skies cleared and I took a chance get out and about but with a Purpose. I decided to go to George Sq and feed some squirrels by hand. Having stashed some healthy nuts in by backpack I set off and went through the canal basin, Bruntsfield Links, through the Meadows, had my coffee (of course). Took a few panoramas on the way and after a toastie and latte walked to George Sq which alas was not open. ☹️. However squirrel activity was high and managed to get them interested in some food, walnuts seemed popular. Not quite out my hand but only a few inches away so I’ll call it a qualified success. Not sure why the gardens were closed as they should have been open. 🧐. I have posted a few pics of a rather lovely day and can recommend this activity to all. Included Arthur’s Seat summit where the good weather had the hordes ascending 😂. One day I’ll master video and post a movie 😁

@BrianandCathy Sinkfrog they do look particularly determined. That’s for sure 😁
Spring is Coming
On a recent walk through the Edinburgh Meadows I was pleased to see some lovely skies and the new buds appearing on the trees and signs that things will be coming to life and blossom will be gracing the walkway bowers. But not yet. Been a bit chilly of late and the days are still short but growing longer every day. Took a few pics of my walk and my coffee which is one of my favourite things to do in the sight of the amazing Futures Institute building. Once upon a time the city’s Royal Infirmary hospital and now you can have a very nice lunch in the Canopy Restaurant. I’ve had several, not all at once 😁. Enjoy.

Edinburgh resident for many years. Came to study Chemistry and decided to stay. Then studied history and that’s a useful thing for Edinburgh.
