Boost indicator. Share your thoughts!
A few days ago already we all had opinions, but now that we have tried it in the game, have they changed? Some questions that you can take your comments on: - Is this something that is proving useful? - Has it changed the way you play the game? - Do you think it will make a difference in the pro player scene? - If you could disable it, would you?

How to double bind
I’ve noticed a few people mentioning that they struggle with double binding controls so here’s a quick step by step on how I got it to work. First of all, I play on kbm so I don’t know if this works for controller. I imagine it will if you do it in the section for gamepad controls. Step 1: Go into the epic games launcher, go into the library, on rocket league press the 3 dots, go on manage, in the installation tab, press the file icon to open the game files. Step 2: In the game files, double click TAgame, then double click config, then go into DefaultInput. This should open a notepad file. Step 3: Scroll down to where each line starts with +PCBindings. This is where the default bindings are shown. It won’t show your bindings, it will show the default bindings. Don’t change these. What you want to do is copy the entire line of the control you want to change. The paste it right underneath the original line. Step 4: At the bit that starts Key="xxxxx" ), replace the “xxxxx” with the input you want to be binded to the control you want. I would recommend looking for the input somewhere else in the file using Ctrl+f to find it. This is so you know how to spell the input as it needs to be correct. That’s it. Step 5: Save the document. Don’t forget to do this. How to do this for a button that you can’t find elsewhere in the file e.g. Mouse buttons: You want to replace the original line to anything else but what it started as (I changed it to ThumbMouse in hope that this was the right input – it isn’t). Next, you want to make sure the copied line has the original input. Last, in your in-game settings, make the control in the keybinds the second button you want to be binded to that action. To make things clearer, the attached picture shows my settings (look at handbrake for powerslide settings). I have modified it so that jump is also binded to scrolling up + powerslide is also binded to my air roll left (Thumb mouse button) + Jump, Move right and Air roll left are binded to Ctrl as a button for stalling.

do these keybinds work for ranked and tournaments? someone told me that double binding will not work in ranked and tournaments. is this true?
Best settings for kbm
First of all, if you have a controller and haven't already invested too many hours into the game, just use controller it's better and there's no changing that. In terms of keybinds, it's entirely preference and I've seen kbm players with all sorts of different keybinds. Here's my recommendation tho: Have WASD as your general movement Have shift as powerslide and free air roll (you could just unbind free air roll like I did as it's not needed if you haven't got muscle memory of using it for recoveries - I say this as there's a way to double bind powerslide so I have it on shift for general use and on my air roll left for recoveries - if you do this, you don't need free air roll) Have space for ball cam Have left click for boost Have right click for jump Have air roll left and right on the 2 side mouse buttons (if you don't have any either stick with default q and e or put it on something else to remove the need to fat finger e.g temple has it on f and g) I would also bind keys to look left and right - for me these are q and e as I don't have air roll on them Finally, you want to double bind a few things to make life easy: Bind jump to scrolling (as well as right click) - this will allow for wall dashing by scrolling - makes life easy Bind powerslide to your dominant air roll (as well as left shift) - e.g. I use air roll left on mouse button 1 so I have that as powerslide as well - this will help make recoveries smoother if you unbinded free air roll If you guys want a tutorial on how to double bind controls, just look at my post where I have a step by step.

kbm vs controller
kbm is better because: consistency in mechanics (better for freestylers) type chat many keybinds easy for people who mostly play keyboard games like shooters, minecraft, etc. no stick drift sharp and quick movements like powerslide controller is better because: more car control with joystick rather than WASD with keyboard dribbling precise touches easy for people who mostly play console games learning mechanics are generally easier controller can be used on both pc and console more fluid and controlled movements rather than kbm's sharp and limited movements hope this helped
