Good Information
Calculations
As I was looking at some load boards checking price for some practice loads, and calculating the both the carrier and dispatcher pay out for the loads was not really worth it in the end with current fuel prices. The load is 697 miles from Point A to Point B. Pay out is 1467 which adds up to around 2.10 mile, must truck avg 5 to 8 miles to the gallon plus the reefer fuel adds to 1095.00 mins that from the 1467 which is 372 then take the dispatcher 10% leaves 334.8 for the carrier. The trip say it takes 11.5 hours, make sure to take in both loading and drop off plus the lay over for the night. Also take in the time for traffic, speed and breaks which turns 11.5 in some where around 19 hours, this avg out to about 17 dollars an hour.

This community is a good place to start.
Trucker here
Can I still be trucking and do dispatching at the same time? Like on a 34 hour reset and when I get home time?

Flatbeds take more time with needing to be strapped and trapped can save some time with a curtain van. knowing very well that this can take up to an hour or more.
