FLIGHT STATE
👉 Flight can resemble anxiety disguised as ambition. Overworking. Overscheduling. Constant travel. Frequent phone checking. Thinking about the next task before fully arriving in the present moment. In this state, the body attempts to maintain safety through continuous motion. There is nothing inherently wrong with this response. Many highly capable individuals learned early in life that movement created safety, approval, control, or worth. However, over time, the body often begins to seek something deeper than performance: ‼️Presence.‼️ When the flight response dominates for extended periods, even significant success may still feel emotionally unfulfilling. Therefore, the practice is not to stop abruptly. There are practices which teach the body that slowing down does not equate to danger. 👉 TODAY’S QUESTION: Can I pursue success without abandoning the needs of my nervous system?

Motion does tend to equate to a release of emotions but also parts can be pretty noisy too when moving. Can be a certain level of excitement before crashing too. This body is so sensitive.

@Robby Ron son Thats an interesting way to look at it. Thank you for sharing.
Where do I feel frozen, and what is one tiny movement that feels possible?
Functional freeze is when part of you is still performing, answering, caring, working, showing up… But inside, something feels stuck. You may feel heavy. Foggy. Numb. Slow. Disconnected. Unable to begin. Unable to choose. Unable to move forward. This is not laziness. This may be your nervous system protecting you by slowing everything down. Freeze can happen when the body senses threat, overwhelm, or too much input and does not feel enough safety, power, or support to move into action. So we do not shame the freeze. We gently invite movement back. Where do I feel frozen, and what is one tiny movement that feels possible? 👇

Yes i can literally feel slowness in my body. There has been a lack of motivation/emptyiness for sometime. I respect the guidance from the body through this challenging period.
Welcome to the community. Small steps. Big changes.
1. Introduce Yourself =) Tell us your name, where you’re from, and one thing your body has been trying to tell you lately. 2. Two Truths & One Lie – Body Edition Example: • I can touch my toes • I hold no tension in my jaw • I love cold showers. Guess which one is the lie. 3. Win of the Week! Did you sleep better? Stretch? Breathe? Walk more? Small wins count. Share one.

@Zina Zinchenko I appreciate having this community available to me. Yes I’m on board with the notion that the body has been holding onto things for a long time. I have been changing my outlook towards it as previously I felt it was fighting me but now realise it’s my biggest ally so talk to it gently.

@Christina Freise That is so relatable Christina so thanks so much for sharing.
What do you catch yourself repeating the most?
“I’m behind.” “I’m not doing enough.” “I need to push more.” The body hears this as instruction. Jaw tightens.Breath shortens.System braces. The shift is not one powerful thought. It’s what you repeat daily. Try this today: “I notice.” “I soften.” “I don’t need to hold this right now.” Repeat it a few times.Notice what changes. Most of what we call “being blocked”is actually a pattern we practice every day. Not just in the body…but in how we talk to ourselves 👉 Curious—what do you catch yourself repeating the most?
