My Husband and I are in a strange situation, after 30 years of being drifters , floating from one country to another mostly in EU , we end up in Sweden because of Covid , France was so aggressive towards people who chose not to vaccinate, we moved there thinking it was cool and welcoming. Massive mistake …. Vile climate , 8 months of darkness…. I won’t bore you with the details but trust me it’s grim ! So now we want to leave …. Having 4 dogs , 2 parrots and a turtle it’s not so easy… I loved Cambodia … but that’s maybe to exotic for hubby and too hot ! Someone suggested Canada but I find their policies towards farmers and people scary …. Euthanasia etc ! So any cool ideas would be appreciated ❤️

Flying back to Europe from a trip to Cambodia, looking through endless idiotic films on Qatar airways I decided to watch Dr Zivago again , probably the 15th time in my life , it’s a stunning old classic, Carlo Ponti and David Lean at their finest. However after 40 mins I felt quite anxious, unwell … something in the body language of Lara was terrifying and so familiar, she was being abused , and by a close family friend, even with her mothers silent consent…. The look in her eyes ! Well the rest of that long flight I spent fighting the demons of my adolescence…. It’s going to be a rough ride for the next few days…. So just wanted to share this if anyone else gets triggered by such nonsense !

Sometimes I feel like deleting all social media accounts because I can’t cope anymore with the level of aggression and violence of people’s words ! Is it me being over sensitive or is there really a degeneration of speech ?
