Hey guys, wanted to share my experience after paying for upwork subscription. Small win being able to see ANYTHING shift on upwork. A couple weeks ago I started the subscription and my impressions have boosted. I have actual profile views now whereas before it was literally just empty(not many but more than none). I've had one invite, which I posted about before on here I believe and therefore one job since upgrading. Its paid for my subscription at least for a few months. I do have to be honest it is a suck on connections. Because I believe they automatically put the availability badge on which I am unsure whether that is being used forgetting impressions. It uses about 2 connects per day but I also having profile boosting on (15 connects per click @ 100 connect limit). I do NOT have job success score. I am literally trying to get 1 more 5 star review(even applying to jobs not normally worth my time just to get it to show up)

Hey guys, I decided on 12/19 to boost my upwork profile. Less than 24 hrs later I got invited to my first job in 6+ months through the platform(other than generic research invitiations for flat $20). I have deep level of expertise so my rate is a reflection of that, with that said, this project was painstakingly low value for me it was $50 bucks for about 3 hours of work(fixed price, I took on all the risk). I countered at my normal rate $150/hr but the client said he could not afford me, to which I responded, if he could give me a 5 star review I would be happy to take on that project. As I am trying to use upwork as an income source. It turned out really well. He was blown away with the value I gave him(I am super business oriented so I could explain complex ideas very simply and help him learn too). Fixed his problem very quickly that he had apparently spent multiple days on. He was so happy that he gave me a bonus bringing the total earnings to $75 and gave me my 5 star review. Want to share this encouragement that even if you are used to certain pay, you are running a business, this is an investment opportunity. Paid off for me!

Hey everyone, has anyone here added a video to their profile and can share how it impacted your results? Did it boost your profile views or increase the number of invites you received? Did your hire rate improve? Have any clients mentioned whether the video influenced their decision to hire you? I know the video needs to be high quality, and it’s better to have no video than a bad one. I’m just trying to understand the real value before deciding whether it’s worth spending money on a professional video.
