Has Anyone Raised Capital for Latin American Real Estate?
I came across a deal this week for a 20-unit apartment building here in Bogotá, Colombia (where I live part of the year). It’s about a $5.5M raise if we can’t get financing, which isn’t as straightforward down here. The deal looks promising, but I’m still new to capital raising and the international angle has me questioning whether this is the smartest first step. That said, I see real potential: if I can raise capital in the U.S. for Latin American real estate, the returns can actually outpace what’s common stateside. Has anyone here raised for international real estate, or have advice on approaching something like this?
