I'm so glad I was able to join today (even if I was a bit late). When I came into the community, I saw the "red Live button" and jumped right in.
Networking without the "Ick"
Does the word "networking" make you want to hide? I get it. But for us, networking isn't about awkward business card exchanges. It's about building an Advocacy Circle. Here is how you build yours naturally: First, try a Speaker Swap. Connect with people in different niches and refer clients to each other. Second, utilize the "Post-Event Thank You." Drop an email to the other speakers from your last gig to build on that shared experience. Finally, simply Be a Resource. Send an interesting article or a lead to an event planner with "no strings attached." The bottom line is that your network is your "net worth" in this industry. Focus on who you can help, and the bookings will follow.

I attended a training on “Signature Talks” recently and they encouraged us to connect with other speakers and the event host. By becoming a valuable resource, you become sought after.

I'm glad I stopped by today and watched this video. I've been focusing on building my business and haven't been attending these calls lately. But listening in reminds me how important it is to be in community. I'm taking away nuggets from this call and a desire to share my message so that people who need to hear it will receive it.

Level Up! You With Me? (Apr 16, 2025)
My son used to talk about "levelling up." He didn't get older each year, he levelled up. I can remember him clearly stating on his 17th birthday that he now had to "act like a 17 year old" because he wasn't 16 anymore. He had levelled up. This came to me this morning as I looked at the day's agenda. Activities I do now on the reg were mere wishes even just 5 years ago. And the woman who dared to chase her crazy dream by starting a business 15 years ago? Yeah, I don't think she even had a CLUE what my life would be like now. I have levelled up as anyone who has been doing something for 15 years should, which brings me to today's question for you to consider. Have you levelled up in some way or are you still existing exactly as you did 10 or 20 years ago? Are you taking full advantage of your increased wisdom and knowledge gained over the years, or playing small, choosing the known over all you could actually do? I pray you are standing on the peak of the mountain you used to look up at. I pray you are staring at the results of your hard work. And I pray you are vowing to keep going. The journey isn't over yet, after all. You are still here. There are still things to do, people to impact, and legacy to build. So join me, my friend. Today and everyday, let's choose to LEVEL UP! I love you! HUGSSSSSSS Sandi

@Sandi Boucher The idea of "leveling up" resonates deeply with me, as it's a process I've experienced throughout my life. In my most recent position, I dedicated almost seven years to continuous growth, culminating in leadership roles, including serving on the organization's board. Unfortunately, executive orders reshaped the Federal government and consulting work in the foreign aid world unexpectedly vanished overnight. Though I believed I had reached a peak doing work I loved, this experience taught me that there are always more levels to attain. Starting anew with my own business feels like another level. Your 15 years of business success give me confidence that this move is part of leveling up to my true calling and lasting legacy.
