I had to teach someone from scratch… this is where I would start, and why: First of all, I would talk to them about breaking — its origins and why it was born. I would make them understand that we are not talking about a sport, but about a cultural movement that can never be reduced to the simple execution of steps. It is a powerful means of introspection and intention. Then I would begin with listening to the music. Only after that would I move on to analyzing the foundations of this dance, with the goal of helping them understand that without a deep knowledge of the basics, there can never truly be freedom.
🤔 Most people say they want FLOW...but is that really what they WANT?
Sometimes they just want to feel fresh → to connect one move to the next → Smooth, Clean & Effortless. And flow doesn’t always mean "good." You can connect moves without having flow. And you can have flow… without true connection. So the question is . . . What are you actually searching for when you move? 🤔 You can also Define what is 'Flow' to you...

For me, flow means having a wide vocabulary of movements that have become unconscious, almost automatic, allowing the mind to pause and fully experience the present through music and movement. It’s not just about executing steps well: true freedom and personal expression appear in the transitions, in how one move connects to the next. Foundations are similar for everyone, but what makes each person’s flow unique is how they combine and express them. Ultimately, I’m not just seeking continuity or the “beauty” of movement; I’m searching for a deep connection with my body, the music, and the moment, and that feeling of being completely immersed, free, and creative

@Alberto Pérez Portela Hey brother, thanks! I’m fully recovered now, actually, I feel even stronger than before. I went through several herniated discs, and one of them even caused paresthesia in my foot—I couldn’t lift my toes anymore. It was a long and tough period, but I hope you’re doing well too. Going through this made me stronger and more mature. During this time I studied a lot and really dove deep into all the aspects of breaking that when you’re young and strong, you tend to take for granted, and I have to thank Intact—he helped me tremendously during that period. It opened a whole new world of knowledge for me and gave me a method that allowed me to grow a lot, even when I wasn’t at 100%. @Andrii Intact Kurnosov

🌍 Hi everyone, I’m B-Boy Roccis from central Italy. I’ve been breaking since 2002. I currently teach breakdance and work in a gym. Over the years I’ve had the chance to travel, learn, and study breaking in depth. The people who influenced me the most were Kwikstep, Emilio from Enemy Squad, and later Intact, who completely changed my understanding of footwork. I also had the pleasure of working with B-Boy Bounce, another big source of inspiration in my growth. 🎵 My favorite track to break to is “The Mexican” by Babe Ruth — it always gives me that raw energy and timeless vibe. 🎯 I joined Foundational Methodz to deepen my foundation, share my experience as a teacher, and keep growing through authentic exchange with the community. 🙏 I’m here to learn, share, and contribute to this culture with passion and respect.
