We've all been trained to be value creators. It's a beautiful idea at its core. But it's missing a key ingredient that will keep you fighting for scraps till the end of time. It kept me broke for almost a decade… I remember when I first started in the online biz space in 2017. All the coaches and courses were teaching some form of skill stacking. If you wanna get rich… just learn more valuable skills, they said. You gotta learn how to build fancy 700-step funnels. You gotta know how to automate the shiz out of everything. You gotta write copy and practise your sales scripts till it hurts. Just learn every valuable skill on planet internet money, become a more valuable person… and you'll be rich! Ezee peezee, right? So if you're broke you probably just need more SKILLZ bro! Now… you may already know there's something off about this idea? Let's look at it from another angle. How many copywriters do you know that have generated millions for their clients? How many funnel builders have you heard of that created million-dollar launches? How many sales reps have reported 6, 7 & 8 figure sales for the offers they sell? Scroll your feed for a couple minutes and you'll likely see at least one of these claims. But how many of these folks actually CAPTURE a fraction of the value they create? Most of the copywriters I know get paid for the words they write, or even worse, for the hours they spend writing. All they get is a couple bucks for the time and effort they put into creating the thing… ..and maybe a thank you if they're lucky. Not to mention the random revision requests and all the other shiz they need to deal with along the way. Here's the part nobody told me for almost a decade. 👉 The problem was never the skill. It was how I got paid for it. I was selling my skill for a one-time fee. Build the thing, collect the check, go find the next client. Repeat every month. Here's what I didn't see: you can keep the exact same skill and just change the deal.
