Logic won't let me adjust the gain of selected regions. The indicator says it's adding gain, but the waveform and gain don't actually change. Anybody else?

Here's the track we worked on today! For those that weren't there for the ending I sent everyone off with an opera performance. I shamefully mispelled opera with an 'h' at the end...thus I give you "Oprah's despair". Some more we could have done with this but we decided to stick with what we showed you and nothing more! Just brought it up to listening level.
