Skool Tip | About Page/Video UPDATE: The Second Video is there smh
Add an about video on the about page... but before you do that, go find 3 about pages in your niche watch them and learn from them I typically look at a few ranked highest in my niche and a few ranked around the same number as me Your video should be one element that convinces people to join your group When I started my Skool, I used one of my social media posts as an about video and this week I updated the video. Feel free to check them both out (see attached) and give me feedback! The first video is my social media post and the second video is my updated about page video for Skool.. Your video will never ever be perfect. I strive for about 80%... (That is a good tip for business in general, 80% is solid to move forward. You will make mistakes, fail, and do it all over again so getting to 100% is the goal and progress is where success lives. ) Happy Friday Let's chat below:

Your personality is fun in the first video, and you've built on that to really sparkle in the second one. Your authenticity shines through!
5 Skools Dancing Around in My Head..
Here are 5 Skools dancing around in my head they may already exist..but if they don’t..hmmm Skool for the Tall 6’2’ and taller.. host virtual and person meet ups..key topics, health,wealth, apparel, build brand deals that meet the needs of this audience. Also Skool for the shorties ditto from above Then I would do one for just men, one for just women Also consider sub niche groups like Tall/Short + ________. There are so many pain point that could be solved in groups like this… Oh and in Speaking at the Built to Be Visible Summit at 2pm CDT! And yes you can monetize your genes and help people…

Yes! Business is not a zero-sum game, where one person wins while another loses. We can all support each other as we all win.

3 things Skool leaders should do at the start of the month
What are some of your start of the month Skool rituals? If you run a Skool, tighten this up before the month really gets moving. First, reduce notifications. Yes — even mine. We don’t help each other by being distracted. If you own a Skool, that’s your priority. Then 2–3 communities where you’re building authority. Then maybe one you’re learning from. That’s it. If your phone is lighting up all day from 12 groups, you’re reacting instead of leading. Turn things off and focus. Second, ask better questions and collect real data. Not just “how y’all doing?” Ask what they’re stuck on. Ask what they’re building. Ask what would make this month a win. If engagement is low, ask something fun or debatable to wake the room up. Engagement is feedback. Use it. Third, keep your cycles short and intentional. I made the mistake of running 30-day challenges at the start of my journey. My audience couldn’t stick to it… and honestly, I barely could either. Now I run a challenge the first 5 or last 5 days of the month. Short, focused, clear. Sometimes tied to a sale or upgrade. I also use a freemium group that feeds into paid offers, and that structure has helped conversions. Strong start. Clear focus. Short cycles.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am getting too many notifications, so I need to step back.

@Martine Brown Done.
Commenting vs Posting
Be honest — do you spend more time posting or commenting inside communities? And which one has actually built you more real connections?

I'm a commenter. I'm an overthinker, and reading others' posts gives me a new perspective. They can halt my current train of thought and redirect me in a more productive way. I'm grateful and hope I can help keep the conversation productive for others.
