3 reasons why we don't do the thing
You know That Thing you KNOW you should be doing in your business? (Emailing your list. Posting in your community. Launching that offer. Raising your prices. Finishing the thing you've been working on for the past three quarters… 😅) And yet… you're not doing it. Before you decide you just need to try harder, it's worth figuring out WHY you're resisting it! Because in my experience, we resist things for one of three reasons: 𝟭. 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 You genuinely don't have the time, energy, attention, money, or other resources for it right now. That's legit. Sometimes the plan simply needs to change to fit your actual season of life. 𝟮. 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 You could do it… but something doesn't fit. Maybe you're following a business rule you don't agree with. Maybe it doesn't match your strengths or zone of genius. Maybe the goal itself isn't even something you want anymore! Resistance is information. 𝟯. 𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 So, this one's different. You desperately want the result. You actually have reasonable capacity for it. It fits where you're trying to go. And yet… you avoid it. (And often we even SAY we have Capacity or Misalignment issues, when reeeaaally it's Avoidance… 👀) 👉 This is where I start looking for Mind Monsters. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻…) 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀.We all have them, and we often don't know they're running the show behind the scenes, holding us back. So, if there's something you've been resisting lately, don't immediately assume you need more discipline. Ask yourself: Is this Capacity? Misalignment? Or Avoidance? And if it's Avoidance… you might want to meet your Mind Monsters. 👀 I made a free Field Guide showing you the four Mind Monsters, how they show up in your business, and one small move you can make to tame each one: 👉https://mindmonsters.thebluebellgroup.com/ Then come back and tell me which one(s) you recognize!

Honestly? It's 𝗔𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘. I'd quickly claim capacity, but that's just an excuse.

@Olivia Radcliffe It's a British thing. My grandfather emigrated from Wales,. My then-fiancé asked me once, and I told him I got it from Grandpa. Now we have one in the pantry for my chips. 🙂

@Rachel Jones Bread smells anazing! Sometimes, just smelling fresh-baked bread is enough.

This non-Premium likes the Marketing one best. My energy and capacity fluctuate, so I'd like one that could stabilize visibility.

I just got off the phone with a personal friend. Somehow, somewhere along the way, our conversation turned into a free coaching session. Normally, I don’t mind. I love helping people. I love when someone walks away from a conversation with me seeing something differently, feeling lighter, or knowing what to do next. But this particular week, it feels like everyone has come out of the woodwork needing a little piece of me. Can I pick your brain? Can you look at this? What would you do here? Can I get your thoughts on something? And when I hung up the phone, I sighed. Greyson looked at me and asked what was wrong. “I’m tired.” And my six-year-old, without missing a beat, said: “You’re tired because you’re the only one helping people, and no one is helping you.” Well. Okay then. 😂 Apparently today’s business lesson is brought to you by a six-year-old. Because here’s the thing: There is absolutely nothing wrong with helping people. Generosity is a beautiful thing. Community SHOULD involve us showing up for each other. I don’t ever want stop being someone who serves others. But giving freely and giving endlessly are NOT the same thing. 😅 👉 You cannot continually be the person pouring into everyone else’s cup while pretending yours doesn’t need filling too. (Some of us 🙋‍♀️ need to re-read that a few times…) And for those of us who run businesses around helping people, I think this gets especially muddy. We can start feeling guilty for charging for something we’re naturally good at. We tell ourselves things like: It only took me a few minutes. I already know the answer. They really need the help. But your knowledge didn’t take 20 minutes to build. Your ability to see the problem quickly is the result of years of learning, experience, mistakes, practice, and becoming really freaking good at what you do. And your time and energy are resources, too!! I need my business to make money. I need time for my family. I need energy for the things I’m building.

Greyson is wise. Teaching first-grade Sunday School showed me the amazingness of that age. They cut through BS. They don't have a filter yet, so they give you a straight answer that's not bogged down in platitudes.

My 'Morning Briefing' Claude workflow
You know those mornings when EVERYTHING seems like it's important and needs to be done at once? You sit down ready to work…and promptly use a chunk of your best working hours trying to decide what in the world you should even work on first. Well, that's a problem I set out to solve! Enter: my morning briefing with Claude. 😏 This week at the AI Exposed Summit (The Claude Edition), I'm giving a sneak peek into my actual Claude workflow I use to have Claude create a prioritized briefing FOR me. (Honestly, usually while I'm still lying in bed first thing in the morning 😅) It recommends what I should focus on first. What can reasonably wait (no matter how shiny it seems!). And what I absolutely can’t afford to miss. The session is now available until August 21st: ✨ No More Guessing! How Claude Runs My Business Briefing So I Always Know What to Do First Check it out for free here: https://www.skool.com/empowered-ai-collective/about?ref=9488c05711954f9ba7bd719cc4432143

After Monica's kickoff, I put together a list of presentations that I want to watch it. Yours is on the list! Bonus points for speaking about something that would help me now. More likely that I'll use what I learn from you. My squirrel will be with me!

@Olivia Radcliffe I was nervous about signing up for this AI Exposed. I have so much to learn about and work through to get comfortable with Claude. I've made an interactive quiz in Claude, and I'm eager to see what else I can do. But I've got a lot to work through with Projects and Skills before I can even think about Connections. I'm psyched that there is so much available at the level that's right for me now.
