Good morning everyone! I’m not sure if this is the place for this or if I’m posting in the right spot either lol but I wanted to ask you guys a question and get our new group going. 😂 . I’ve been super lucky all of these years and never had pig mites but I currently have three pigs that seem a bit itchy and two of them that have spreading balding spots… Is that pig mites and if so is ivermectin enough for me to treat this? The skin doesn’t look red or anything. I know that I would have to remove all of their bedding, etc. but what else do I do? I have a really been lucky up till now if that’s what this is. thanks in advance!

I would love to hear your favorite thing you absolutely love to do with your pig(s) I love to sit with mine and take tweezers to help remove their dead skin. I can sit for HOURS doing this to them and watching their hawks rise as well as listen to those cute grunt sounds of content while I do it . It also helps to ensure I can touch them all over their bodies with no issues. This comes in handy when a vet/farrier needs help with my babies. It’s also very calming to me as well 🐽
