AI disclosure
Wondering do people actually state on their item description / live listing that the image is AI generated? I always select the AI option when creating my listing, but I think that is just info for Etsy rather than it being shown to the buyer. Does anyone add anything into their item description to say items are AI generated? I have had a look at a few various designs just to see how people list them but it’s not very clear. I worry that not mentioning this is misleading to the customer (going by some people’s posts in this community) but then also worry having it there will put buyers off also… what are people’s thoughts/processes on this? Thanks!

@Bart Tutaj ok thank you, sorry for all the questions…!! so does that mean a good rule of thumb would be to upscale to the pixels as per A0 on that list (9900*14000) and so anything ordered up to that size would be completely fine? I’m just thinking as one file is uploaded to PrintShrimp the file then needs to be good enough for any size ordered (if that makes sense!?)

@Bart Tutaj amazing, thank you! I can’t tell you how much time I have spent on trying to get this right with the YouTube vids and ChatGPT!! This makes more sense now! I’m debating just sticking to A sizes going forward but wonder if that potentially will effect my potential orders if it’s to restricted…
Midjourney
Hey! I have a question for anyone who uses Midjourney.. basically I've found a style that I like and the idea of using Midjourney is that it can produce quite a lot in a short amount of time but my question is does anyone often find that the image looks great but then after closer checks and zooming in there are always either a lot of 'grain/textured' effects to the paper or just what I would describe as 'AI scribbles/lines' ? I'm using Claude/ChatGPT to help with prompts but even after trying to avoid these issues, Midjourney still generates them. I have found ways of editing but it kind of defeats the object of trying to save time. Just wondering what other peoples experiences are with using this, and if they have workarounds? Thank you!

@Bailey Jackson Hi, yes, I tried both subtle and creative but I think depending on the image, it still generates with these unwanted details

@Gwendolyn Webster thanks, I think it’s more of an issue with the image itself to be honest as upscaling doesn’t make a difference to that particular issue. Thanks though! I guess I just wondered if anyone else had come across similar issues before with Midjourney but it could be down to the particular style maybe.
Refund request
I have had my first refund requests, they said the paper was crinkled . They had a photo attached , it was hard to see clearly to be honest… looked like a tiny kink in it . Should I ask them if they want a replacement not a refund? And is this something I can go to print shrimp as ask them to replace? Thanks for your help

If you have a photo then I think you could open a case with PS through your paid orders section on the platform, maybe ask and see what they think.
Variations
I could use some help please! I have created a poster with 8 various colours so that the idea is a customer finds 1 listing and then there is a drop down for them to pick their preferred colour. I am struggling to find an easy way of doing this. I uploaded individual skus to printshrimp, did a bulk upload as usual so that I have all skus saved on my PS file, and also are currently all in my Etsy drafts. What I have found though is that to then combine all and add variations of colour, it takes out all of the prices and also is over capacity, meaning I have to manually remove some sizes from my options. I also noticed my PS templates don't offer A0 size so I was looking to add that in also... just wondering is it easier to just upload each colour as an individual item (I assumed Etsy wouldn't like this), or is there a quicker way to bulk upload with my varied colour options? Hope this all makes sense - I'm a little stumped on how to proceed! Thanks so much! Amy

@Saanil Rathod Thank you. It’s not an issue with how they are in PS, as I know all my SKUs are in place so no worries there.. it’s how to quickly upload all 8 images into 1 listing. 1 listing but then a dropdown of 8 colour options. just like how the customer would see the dropdown option for the various sizes/frames. I know how to manually do it but after I upload all my sizes and various prices from Printshrimps own template, if I try to create variations for the colour, it takes out all of my prices (which is hundreds!) sorry I’m maybe not explaining myself very well!!

@Mihai Volintiriu thanks and yeah I did wonder about splitting into two but then just thought is that still a lot of unnecessary extra work(!?) when PS bulk upload tool with their set prices etc just makes things so quick and easy! Perhaps individual listings is just the way to go to save time! Thank you!
Mid journey
Hi, getting myself all mixed up over dpi and print quality and I think my confusion is from the video tutorials. In the videos Tom talks about upscaling in midjourney by using the creative upscale button which I have done and I’ve done this for all my images. But when I look at the properties of these images the pixels are much lower than the recommended for printing and nowhere near 300dpi? It makes sense to offer the big sizes so before I carry on with more and more listings and make my problem worse would folk recommend that I upscale all my images for A2 and bigger another way?

@Mihai Volintiriu once again, thank you! I’ll give that a try. Sorry to ask another question(!) but as I upscale but then also download in high resolution from Canva, giving me 300DPI/24 bit depth, is this still not enough for larger sizes? And if not, would you literally just upscale in Upscayl as and when orders come through for say and A1/A0 size?! Rather than trying to work through all images you have?!
