Merry Christmas everyone
We're calling this class 'Silent Scream'. Thank you @Ciara Luskin for sharing this new pose with us. It's an amazing pose for strengthening & supporting around the Tmj joint, tongue, back of the throat & mouth. We also practiced those poses that are perfect for across the table at Christmas dinner. We've been preparing our FY poses all year for this very day. Feel free to post up a Christmas Face Yoga pose at the dinner if you fancy it for the craic. This class from today is usually only accessible to Premium members but I'm gifting you all this class for the season that's in it. Merry Christmas everyone. Take care and mind yourselves. Class next week is themed 'DESTRESS'.

TMJ & teeth grinding - Face Yoga LIVE class
This class is specific to those of you who grind your teeth & have TMJ issues. We have a special guest appearance of HUGO my dog, who was attempting to climb out the window during my class:)!! That explains why my plants keep getting knocked over & I thought it was my cat the whole time! Here is the LIVE recorded class from Sunday. I'm posting it up as a present for all members today as a Christmas gift from me to you. I am not available next Sunday 15th for the LIVE class as I'm away with family but I will be with you for the remainder of the Sundays this year. Enjoy the class Mind yourselves Irene

Thank you Irene
Sunday classes are now in the classroom folder.
Today's class was loaded with anatomical terms and muscles but I eventually got my head around the interconnectedness of it all. We focused on a muscle called Lateral Pterygoid which is attached to tmj & the sphenoid bone, maxilla and the mandible - the sinus plate, face plate and the jaw bone. The pterygoid moves the jaw forward, back and side to side. When this muscle holds tension it can cause tmj issues, sinus issues and headaches. For the size of the muscle, being quite small, it can cause a lot of pain when it holds tension & can restrict nasal channels also. I hope you find relief from today's class. Please work at your own pace and take your time with some of these poses. Some people may find relief instantly and others need to work regularly at these poses to help relieve tension. But the muscles in the face are short muscles so face yoga techniques can work relatively quickly. Let me know how you get on Happy practicing

If you are already in this community then you now have lifetime access to my LIVE weekly face yoga classes for FREE! YAY :) My aim with this community is to help people empower themselves to self care and self heal. This is an ongoing process and we are always in motion of healing if you think about it. But for some of us, the level of pain we hold in our bodies can be overwhelming. I am passionate about helping people help themselves through mindfulness face yoga techniques, self care practices, connect deeply & as a result release tension, anxiety & stress and live in a more calm and present way. My goal here was that when I reached over 100 members I would start charging a small monthly fee in order to access my weekly live classes. I am now charging €10 per month or €99 for the year to access my live weekly classes. I will host a LIVE FACE YOGA class per week so if you break that down it costs €2.50 per Live session which lasts approximately 1hour. I think that is a reasonable price for what you get? But as you have all become members already these classes are Free for as long as you are a member. So congratulations & it's a pleasure and honour to have you here:) My ambition is to eventually earn enough money to finance myself through college to get a degree in either Myofunctional therapy or Orafacial therapy so that I can deepen my knowledge and profession. I am already studying these therapies in my own time & find it fascinating. Please if you could, help me achieve my dreams & refer people to my community if they are in need of support with their head health or simply just want to learn techniques that make them feel better about themselves and empower them to feel good. That would mean the world to me and together in this community we can structure this space to how we feel it will best serve us. Thanks again for becoming a member, showing up to the live classes and trusting in me. It means so much
