Working with Lara came into my life at exactly the right moment. I wasn’t actively searching, but when I came across her, something just felt right, her energy, her presence, and the way she carries her experience. From the beginning, the whole experience felt very natural and aligned. There was no pressure, just genuine guidance and support. Through our work together, I’ve gained a lot more clarity, not only about where I am now, but also where I’m heading next. What made the biggest impact for me is the awareness I developed. The steps I’ve taken during this process helped me understand my own journey on a deeper level and brought me closer to my mission. I truly appreciate not only Lara’s professionalism as a coach, but also her kindness as a person. That combination makes the whole experience feel safe, supportive, and real. I would definitely recommend working with her to anyone who feels ready to move forward but might need the right guidance to do so.

When the teacher is ready the student appears and when the student is ready the teacher appears! It was just meant to be!!
I've been overthinking this for 2 weeks. Here's what I realised today.
I want to be honest with you about something. For the past two weeks I've been completely stuck. I kept asking myself: am I helping the right people? Is my positioning aligned? Should I be doing ads or organic? Am I being authentic or am I just copying what works for someone else? I was going in circles. And the more I tried to find the perfect answer, the more paralysed I became. Today something shifted. I realised I was treating alignment and making money as opposites, like I had to choose one or the other. But they're not opposites. They're the same journey, just different stages. Getting your first paying client is step one. Building something scalable and sustainable is step two. I've done step one. I'm figuring out step two in real time... right here, with you. That's what this community is. It's definitely not a finished system. But a real journey, documented honestly... If you've ever felt stuck between doing what feels right and doing what actually works, I see you. That's exactly where I was this morning. Where are you on your journey right now? Drop a comment? I'd genuinely love to know. 🧡

This part!!!! "I realised I was treating alignment and making money as opposites, like I had to choose one or the other. But they're not opposites. They're the same journey, just different stages." Money is just a byproduct of value created for someone other than yourself. When we actually get out of our own way long enough to realize all we need to do is serve and show up is when things actually move. The best leaders get the plane off the ground and figure it out a long the way. No one really KNOWS anything we're all just doing the best we can and over time the skills, insights, intuition all start to come together and the results compound. But not before. The more I do this the more I realize theres no substitute for time in market. If you just keep doing the thing long enough it will always give back to you 10 fold but never in the way you think and its not a 1:1 its 10x that.
What Made You Start Your Skool community In The First Place?
Was it helping people, making money by following you passion or both? or something else? Would love to hear about it🥰

I started mine because I had tried everything else - facebook groups, kajabi, thrivecart, samcart, teachable, flodesk / mail chimp and nothing had worked. I was scrolling tiktok lives one day sitting in my car after just being turned down by a prospect for the 3rd time (I was in sales) and came across a guy Mike Gowans who had a whiteboard up talking about how he used Skool in his biz and how it replaced his email list, funnel, payment processor, course platform, community, calendar etc. I hate reading emails but knew the power of email from my years as a marketing exec. So the email thing was like WHOA this sounds like me. I thought fuck it what do I have to lose so I joined his community, went all in doing everything he told us to do and within 90 days hit my first $10k month (I was going live on tiktok every day) Thats when I realized holy shit this actually works. Ive always wanted to be a coach and help people. I got my masters in positive psych and 6 ICF certifications bc I KNEW this is the only thing that makes me happy but they never taught you how to actually take that knowledge and turn it into biz. Skool was like the missing link for me that finally brought it all together. Honestly if money were no object I would do this anyways. But obviously need money to support yourself. So for me I'd say it was all the things
Building a community is powerful… but it can also be draining when you’re constantly showing up for others.
Burnout doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It usually means you’ve been giving a lot. This is your reminder: you don’t have to build alone 💯 👉 Where’s your energy at right now (1–10)?

I feel this for sure. I’ve noticed that at the beginning of building your community. It is just you showing up and giving a lot and you have to be OK with the fact that the return on investment might not be immediate or one to one, but it is always infinitely more than what you put in just not necessarily at that time. But then overtime you get to have communities like grow with Evelyn where yes she’s still showing up and giving to her community but she’s not the one in their answering every single question. Members are supporting members. You have growth operators, and co-coaches. Given that we’re in the coaching, education space I don’t think anyone should be building alone. I’ll speak for myself at least when I’m not working with someone. I tend to go down these like crazy ass rabbit holes that don’t actually get me anywhere and totally lose the plot. How can I expect someone to feel safe investing in themselves to work with me if I’m not doing the same thing? Like what’s even the value of Coaching or a community if you’re not being coached or in a community yourself? Ya know? It’s just alignment.
You don't have to pick one thing. You have to pick one path.
I struggled for SOOOOOO long when it comes to my niche Like you have no idea. I went from coaching millennial women in the workplace, "helping women find their purpose passion and prosperity," money mindset, straight up biz coach, recovery coach. ALLL the things. But the common through line has always been ME. I was raised buddhist and jewish. My background is marketing and sales. I've been obsessed with human design and astrology since I discovered it. And for the longest time I could never figure out how all these pieces fit together. In the midst of all this niche confusion I tried Kajabi, thinkific, teachable, thrivecart, samcart all the things. Nothing ever worked. Like not even a little. 😅 Then somehow by the grace of god, the universe, source I found Skool. And now it just all fits together. ✨ Just wanted to share this because I know how much angst the concept of 'picking a niche' was for me. And I want you to know it really doesn't matter. You just get to be you on the internet *consistently* and people are either gonna vibe or not. I think we can make things so much more complicated than they need to be. When really all that matters is you showing up consistently and being true to yourself. What does being an aligned creator mean to you?

@Lara Bruyelles I agree with everything you said. As long as you’re doing the work you love and just showing up as your full authentic self everything else is figure out able. You’ll never lose the skills, resilience or learnings that you get along the way, and it all adds up all the time. And I can still be like this in my business. Where I’m like should I do this challenge or this challenge. This kind of ad or this one. TikTok or IG? This offer or that offer? And then I have to remind myself that that’s literally getting me nowhere. It’s not like I have to react from pressure and just do things that don’t feel aligned, but you also just have to follow your heart and iterate along the way I mean, that is basically the definition of entrepreneurship.
